2013 Schedule

He tossed a bunch in their 5-0 start there bud too. Lions finished 3-1 and earned the playoffs.

When he was hurt and turning the ball over he went 1-2. Lost two shootouts to the Saints and close ones to San Fran and Atl WITHOUT good offensive performances.

That 5-7 finish Stafford was hurt and the secondary was decimated with injury including the Saints shootout losses. Plus no Best. Let's hope Bush plays all 16. And he wasn't tossing many tds vs Falcons/49ers. I don't see a Saint 2011 offense other than Green Bay on the schedule.

Stafford tossing 40 TDS will win them a bunch of games. It won 10 no matter how you slice it. Would have been MORE than 10 if not for Best and secondary injuries.

He threw 13 in their 6-0 start which is 2.2 per game. Maybe those were wins because of a better balance and good defense. Like I said...throwing 40 TDs does NOT mean they will have a winning record. It takes defense and special teams too.

You missed his point completely. Last 12 games he averaged above 2.5 which you suggested would amount to wins. And the 5-7 record proves you wrong.

It will amount to wins. We don't play the same schedule and we'll have a healthier secondary and Bush at our disposal. Stafford getting back to what he should do will put us over the top.

40 TDs should amount to a ton of wins. Show me a QB who threw 40 with a team with a bad record. Pats and Colts have had some shitty defenses but alot of wins. Same with the Saints. Hell look at the 2011 Pack. Worst defense ever and 15-1.

And 5 of the losses he didn't average 2.5 TDS and the Lions didn't score alot of points. 40 Tds means Stafford takes over enough games. And he did in 10 games for wins.

He averaged 2 TDs per game in 7 of the losses. (32 per season)
He averaged 1.2 in 5 of the non shootout losses. (19.2 per season)

If you really think the Lions are going to lose 7 shootouts, you are drinking the haterade.

He threw 2 with no picks without Backus last year. Plus helped set up another short Leshoure rushing TD. Reiff can get the job done at LT

That may be true of Reiff but who is on the right side? Based on what I saw, Reiff is more of a right tackle or guard. Lord knows we should draft defense but limited cap space and losing two starters makes Stafford a sitting duck.
