You're welcome Mitch, and everyone else. This is an important and very special time for all of us as Tigers fans having two long over due Tigers greats officially becoming members of the Hall Of Fame.

I decided to sticky this thread, it belongs up top for us to read over again, and for the historical baseball achievement and enshrinement of two more of our favorite Tigers.

iirc, the Modern Era gets a chance in 2020 to vote in Lou Whitaker.

Career WAR for 1984 Tigers, per @baseball_ref :
Lou Whitaker, 75.1
Alan Trammell, 70.7
Darrell Evans, 58.8
Chet Lemon, 55.6
Jack Morris, 43.9
Lance Parrish, 39.5
Kirk Gibson, 38.4

Alan Trammel was the most fundamentally sound shortstop I have ever seen. Growing up in Detroit a #Tigers fan, he was someone to look up to. Humble hero. I hope Lou Whitaker gets his due soon too. Love that Tram goes in with Jack Morris.

Great to see so many ex-Tigers in Cooperstown to celebrate Alan Trammell and Jack Morris going into the Hall of Fame. Kirk Gibson, Lance Parrish, Al Kaline, Willie Horton, Travis Fryman, Lou Whitaker, Tom Brookens, Darrell Evans, among others.

Morris and Trammell with HOF Plaques.

"I know Sparky Anderson is with us today," Morris said of the late Sparky Anderson, who managed the Tigers to the 1984 World Series Championship. "He taught me so many things. He taught me to fight through adversity.?

Brad Galli: "I can tell you this, I'm a proud Tiger going in."
Alan Trammell will be inducted into the @BaseballHall today. Finally.

Over the last 40 years, Alan Trammell ranks 19th in WAR among position players.
That's better than Mike Schmidt, Barry Larkin, Tim Raines, or Miguel Cabrera https://www.baseball-reference.com/tiny/DllTp

SportsCenter: New Hall of Famer Alan Trammell led the Tigers to a World Series win in 1984 and quietly dominated at shortstop.

In 1987, Alan Trammell became the first SS in MLB history to post a season with at least a .340 batting average, 28 home runs and 100 RBI.

Chipper Jones on #Tigers Alan Trammell: "Coming up as a shortstop, there was nothing better than watching you and Sweet Lou Whitaker turn that double play up in Detroit. I'm sure the city of Detroit is beaming with pride today."

In 1977, Alan Trammell & Lou Whitaker made their @tigers debut together. ?Tram was a hippie back then,? Lou said. ?He came out of high school with long hair. He liked that heavy metal.? Now he?s in the @baseballhall. @SABRGames story by @Scott_Ferkovich:

Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker, together, on the field and in the lineup, were like watching poetry in motion.
Smooth, tenacious, efficient, exciting.
Players you just loved to have on your team.
