ALDS Game #3 Detroit vs. cleveland, Wednesday October 9th, 2024

This is great, and now our Tigers have a chance to end this in a game 4 at Comerica in Detroit and save Skubal for a Game 1 matchup in the ALCS with whomever wins the royals - yankee series.

Jake Rodgers is sure earning his playoff checks.

Dingler has yet to play a postseason inning.

FAN FEEDBACK: DIVISION SERIES GAME #3.
Totally Tigers

Wow. Again.
Haven’t these been absolutely incredible games?
The Detroit Tigers took the lead on Wednesday, winning 3-0 and going up on the Guardians 2-1 in the series.
And once again, there were many heroes. Pitchers, relievers, hitters and defensive players. And also those who don’t take the field.
As such, it would be impossible to highlight just 1 play of the day. Which is why I ask you to think back over these past 3 games plus the 2 contests with the Houston Astros.
Here is your challenge: Pick just one player you feel has contributed the most to these 4 game wins.
Just one. Your own personal MVP.
Tell us who he is and why you selected him in 3 sentences. Of course, we encourage you to respond to other readers’ comments as well.

Its gotta be Skubal. It takes a ton of pressure off the system Hinch is running knowing they have at worst a competitive game with an inning eater going. Without him the pen would be stretched further with guys like Madden and Jobe pressed into harder spots.

If im forced to choose an offensive player it is Meadows. The defense he provides in center is absolutely ridiculous. He caught one yesterday that 98 percent of the outfielders in the league would've had to dive for and he snagged in on the run.

Carp, I know he has only played in certain spots.

But what he did in that certain spot is pretty unforgettable/unbelievable.

This is the first time in franchise history the Tigers have thrown multiple shutouts in a postseason series.

Beau Brieske threw 2.0 perfect innings of relief today with three strikeouts. In four postseason appearances, he's worked 5.1 no-hit innings with two walks and six strikeouts.
