Attention racists: sikhs are not muslim

Yeah, well the U.S. Army could say the same thing, after Ft. Hood.

Again, you're great at broad generalizations, and nothing else.

N Africa has become a base for Islamists thanks, in part, to Obama. Its all falling into place

Show me a link to these facts.

A real link, not some anti-Muslim rhetoric, spewed out by some bigot internet rag, that the freedom fighters which ousted dictators in Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, has any roots whatsoever in the Afghanistan conflict.

And it's funny how selective you are on some things, when us "libs" point out Bush taking us to the second longest and most expensive war the US ever fought over WMD's that DID NOT exist, you always fall back on that it's a positive that we ousted a dictator. Yet now you criticize Obama for supporting the same thing, without putting a single military boot on the ground, and spending percentage points of percentage points compared to W.

At least Bush went in front of congress and received an overwhelming support for the action.

heres another one for you Thumber....CNN & UK Telegraph, certainly not some right wing outfit.

From the article: Belhaj also reflected on his time in Afghanistan, stressing that he and others in the LIFG were not affiliated with al Qaeda.

"Our presence in Afghanistan with or without al Qaeda does not mean that we agree with them. Our presence in Afghanistan was to support the just cause of the Afghan fight against the Soviets," he said.

"We went to support the people, and we extended a hand to them in education and aid. ... We also helped to defend and fight, as did many other nations that joined, including the United States," Belhaj said in what seemed like an effort to reassure Washington.

"As for our presence in Afghanistan, (just because it) coincided with the presence of al Qaeda does not mean that we agree or believe in the same ideology."

You have to learn to read more than the headlines.

As he should have, considering the amount of our armed forced he deployed there, and the overall cost.

You think Obama should have asked a full session of congress to give him the okay to deploy a few drones?

they all had there own intell, said the same as ours....c'mon this is well known even Russia thought so. Your telling me dumb as GW Bush snookered the whole world, can be possible

point out where I said Al Qaeda,,, I said Islamists

So your problem is, you don't like them basing a government on their god and religion, because it's contrary to your god and religion?

It was okay for the Protestant founding fathers to use religion when rebelling and forming a new government, but when other countries [which are all Islamic majorities] do it, you want to blame Obama?

No, I dont want to deal with A-Holes like we have in Iran, who are fanatics. Muslim Brotherhood, terrorist group, now we befriend them, send them billions, nice. I'm opposed to lending our "help" in order for them to take control

It's real simple - the guy you referenced claims to have been fighting in Afghanistan against the Soviets.

From the Cato Institute

http://www.cato.org/pubs/pas/pa074.html

You were aware, of course, that Reagan supported the resistence against the Soviet insurgence into Afghanistan, weren't you?

Included amongst those in that resistance that the Reagan Administration supported is the guy who you referred to as an "Islamist."

Hope that answers the ???

tsmith, you're the one who posted the link to this quote, and referred to the speaker as "Islamist"

Tinsel, I heard that Reagan's administration also sold Iran weapons in the 80's. Is that TRUE?!?!?!
