Michigan sophomore DL Aubrey Solomon is transferring, source told @WatchStadium

No big deal. Just a 5-star and our 2nd best recruit in the 2017 class. NT depth does not exist on the 2019 roster. Donovan Jeter is the only player listed as a NT for next season. Neat.

:spin:

The kid seemed conflicted according to his own public comments. A commission, disparaging comments, a decommission, an apology a recommission, injuries and a transfer.

I believe he's the 8th member of the 2017 class to transfer now.

Technically the 7th. Samuels was booted. Found this:

Solomon's departure is now the eighth from the Michigan program from the 2017 class. He joins Deron Irving-Bey (transfer), Drew Singleton (transfer), Kurt Taylor (transfer), Corey Malone-Hatcher (medical), O'Maury Samuels (team rules violation), James Hudson (transfer) and JaRaymond Hall (transfer) as prospects from the cycle to leave the program.

Taylor is the only one that is below a 4-star.

dang...thought hed get a majority of the PT next year. Mone and Solomon gone leaves a hole...

Uche, Dwumfour, Kemp, Paye...then not much depth with experience behind them. Little Scary having Kemp and Uche both undersized playing a mjority of snaps...will need some young talent to step in.

Is this the new norm? Guys sitting out bowl games and players transferring nonstop. Because it feels like when players dont pan out here at Michigan they bail on the program pretty fast. I wonder what the transfers numbers are on average for schools?

I blame Bob. Someone needs to take responsibility. Bob also should account for the poor performance of the defense against OSU.

Just give Harbaugh a couple of decades and he'll have us stocked with talent. I mean you can't really expect a GREAT head coach to build an ounce of depth on the interior line in just FOUR years.

2019 interior d-line depth:

NT - Donovan Jeter
3-Tech - Dwumfour, Kemp

Mazi Smith and Chris Hinton will have to fill the rest as true freshman. Perfect.

If Harbaugh goes 3-3-5 then he won't need as many DLs. So maybe that's the plan. Or maybe it's to get some commits from his trip to South Africa.

I can't imagine that is the plan. Dwumfour was terrible against the run this year, so he's not a good anchor for a 3-man front. Jeter has barely even played, so I doubt we are going from a multiple to a 3-3-5 because he's going to have to start.

Quote from some guy I know resonated with me late last month:
Maybe it's time to stop getting emotionally involved in a game played by 18-22 year olds?

There were "rumors" of this before it happened, just like now there are rumors about Black

There are rumors about Higdon, Bush, Long, and Hill all sitting out the bowl game

There are rumors of discontent in the program from the players

Why are there rumors? Why don't guys just come out and say whether they are transferring and/or going pro and/or not playing in the bowl game?

Where have you been ? I have blasted Brown more then most on this board . The defense that feasts on teams with less talent then Michigan . Take a look it's TRUE! Hey we could bring back Durkin! His defense had three shutouts in a row.
Oh wait those were Hoke's kids. LoL... look Brown is fine but he may want to study how to defend a crossing pattern!

I have heard 5 defense guys are sitting out of the bowl game. Hope it is untrue.

I've heard of 4.

Bush, Gary, Hill, and Long

of course, these are just rumors, except for Gary. He came right out and said he wasn't going to play.

2-4-5? or maybe get a little edgy and go 1-5-5...you know a real lead from the front kind of decision.

I was kidding about the 3-3-5. I was kidding about blaming Bob for the OSU fiasco on defense. However, I will blame it all on Michchamp. If we don't take the efforts of these 18-22-year-olds seriously the entire facade collapses on itself.

I know no worries it was a Colossal team failure in Columbus offense, defense ,coaching and yes dumb fans like me who bought into this team. I have never seen a team give up like Michigan did in that game down 15 Points late third quarter. It was unforgivable how our players other then a few just were not ready to play. I guess Jim should get more of the blame. Heck idk. The losing streak is so frustrating.
