Aubrey Solomon Transferring

A new rumor going around is its been known about Solomon since the middle of the season. Im guessing he was talked into sticking out the season and maybe changing his mind. One or both Chris Hinton and Mazi Smith will be in the rotation next year. Hopefully those 2 are enrolling early. They are both high 4* and Hinton was a 5*at one point. His early commital and not attending any camps led to him dropping in the rankings. Not too worried about him. Im sure he has a knowledge of the game better than most having a former NFL father. Smith is a wrecking ball and probably should be close to 5* status. He is good. Barring injury these gents will be good their sophomore year. Hopefully for next year we can plug the dyke just good enough and keep it from collapsing.

Also, if Josh Uche(dnp against OSU) can be as disruptive as he was in big games this year, this will definitely help in getting around having serviceable people in the middle.

I was kidding about the 3-3-5. I was kidding about blaming Bob for the OSU fiasco on defense. However, I will blame it all on Michchamp. If we don't take the efforts of these 18-22-year-olds seriously the entire facade collapses on itself.

so you're saying it's all just a fa?ade?

Yes. The present structure of college football is a sham, a canard, a prevarication, a spectre of the mind that does little more than line the pockets of a few old white men so one coach can hold a glass football for a few minutes as the rest consider their seasons as failures.

You have to remember that these kids don't have time to play a real playoff. You to remember that the kids in FCS have it WAY easier with their schoolwork, so they have plenty of time to play in a real college football playoff. They have so much extra time on their hands that they could probably play a 64 team FCS playoff.

D-1 could never pull off something like this https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/football/fcs/2018.

We just can't eliminate the prestige and honor of teams playing in games like the R&L Carriers Giant Titties Bowl.

What in thee fuck are you smoking? Way easier? College is college, everyone is out to prove they don't have sham classes, so they pile the work on at the smaller institutions. That is fact. Accounting is still accounting, Chemical engineering is still chemical engineering. I went to The University of Tennessee, Ferris St. University, and attended Macomb Community College for extra classes over the summer and played football at both schools. It's all the same tired and hard work. Classes all day, practice from 2-5, homework from 6-whenever, game on Saturday, film and mile run on Sunday. You have no life for 6 months........everywhere!!

And to add it may be on the easier side for the bigger universities, because everybody had tutors if they needed them. You don't get that all the time or as many at smaller schools. There is actually a payroll for this kind of help. Ask my old coach Phil Fulmer about it, UT's tutors were actually doing most of the work.

I am really not sure how my blatant sarcasm went unnoticed with this one.

The point of my entire post was that the kids at the FCS level have to work as hard, or harder, with schoolwork and they still have an awesome playoff. Every level outside of D-1 has a legitimate playoff to crown their champ.

D-1 has a corporate jackoff session they call bowl games along with a plus one system. 4 teams is not a playoff.

I thought you were referring to uofm football, not cfb in general.

Dude I am sorry I did not see it. I thought you were serious. I apologize.

No worries, man. I just thought my R&L Carriers Giant Titties Bowl would be a dead giveaway.

I can only imagine what kind of prizes the players would get if such a bowl did exist (and yes, I know what the most obvious one would be).

Read a few articles one of the reason Solomon is leaving because of playing time and the coaches pushing him to hard. He was injured and then didn’t start verses ND and the rest is history. Other players worked harder and passed him on the depth chart. Some of these 5 star kids want country club treatment. Anyway we are up to 25 players transferring out of Michigan in the last 2 seasons. Man that is a lot.

The 2017 class was ranked #5.
8 of the 29 players in the 2017 class have transferred out of the program. Man Hudson III made a comment on twitter after Solomon transferee, and then Solomon liked the tweet. My guess it is Solomon was pushed really hard by his line coach and didn’t like it. Also when these guys transfer have any really panned out ? I am trying to remember a transfer who made it elsewhere.

Also has anyone heard of a flare up politically in the Michigan locker room?

I am worried about Black leaving the program. Our passsing offense stinks under Hamilton. I hope TB gets more targets in the peach bowl.

Black isn't leaving. Over the summer, he raved how he was best friends with PJ and how he loved Michigan. He is another guy that got hurt, though

Seems to be a common theme amongst those that have left. They all get hurt and then want to leave. There are some rumors that Harbaugh is working them too hard, so they get dinged up. Then when they can't play, others get to play. Harbaugh and Co push them hard to get back from injury, too. Yes, Harbaugh expects them to work hard at practice, school, the weight room, and the training table. That damn Harbaugh!!

Oh yeah and several of them have had trouble, because of weed...allegedly.

Harbaugh isn't going to come out and say that this person or that person didn't want to work hard or was having trouble with drugs...

I think it's all part of the cutthroat nature of Big D-1 football. Kids commit and transfer for a number of reasons - lack of playing time, injury, coaching changes/disagreements, etc.

If football is a means to an end to get a MICHIGAN degree, I think you'd stay, right?

But if MICHIGAN is a means to get to the NFL, the priority would be more exposure and playing time.

That said, Lloyd Carr was said to have rushed/pressured players to get back quickly too. I'm sure Nick Saban does. Mike Leach locks them in the shed when they complain.

Lloyd was, also, well known for throwing transfer papers into players' faces.
