Back up, I got this

Lets ask this random guy what he thinks.

Manti Te'o - LB - Player

"Four GMs" tell the Chicago Tribune Notre Dame ILB Manti Te'o's slow 40 time (4.82) was "not a great indicator of how he plays."
"If a middle linebacker runs a 4.82 but he is instinctive and quick in a short area, the 40-yard dash time doesn't matter," one GM said. "At that position what matters is they are productive and make plays." Te'o has certainly proven he can rack up statistics and make plays, but there are real questions about whether he's quick enough to put himself in position to consistently make plays at the NFL level. He's not in for a legendary fall in the draft, but he needs to be faster at Notre Dame's Pro Day.

He'll fall to the top of the 2nd rd if he runs that time at his pro day. Teo as a 2nd rd pick is a better topic of discussion. I still wouldnt take him cause of need. I think we have to go de and cb in rds 1 and 2.

Lions taking him in R2 would be another R2 mistake. The dude blows. I'm hoping he isn't even on their board at all, but based on their history it would not surprise me at all to see them grab him. Ugh.

No. The Lions take guys who had injuries or have been busted for weed etc but as far as just plain dumb, no.
