Webvideo ?Barry Sanders: A Football Life? ? A Look Back.
from nflfilms

Being overlooked was normal for Barry Sanders; college recruiters rejected him because of his small stature. In the 1989 NFL Draft, the Oklahoma State University star proved his doubters wrong when he was selected by the Detroit Lions as the third overall pick. Over Sanders?s nine-year career, the Lions tailback, most notably known for his mesmerizing moves and flashing speed, racked up 15, 269 yards, which landed him third on the all-time career rushing list.

This Wednesday at 8 PM only on NFL Network, our ?A Football Life? series continues as we examine the life and career of one of the best and most elusive runners in history. Now, see where the Hall of Famer ranked, as oringinally presented in? Top 100.?

What a Joy and Thrill it was to watch him run.

#1 RB to never get a ring. only the lions could waste such talent.

Will be saying the same thing about AP and the Vikings in 10 years. Hell, AP might not even see the playoffs again before his career is over.

Man, that video made me just as sad as it made me proud. Now we have Calvin who is in the same mold with the same hall of fame potential. I pray they don't do him the same way. These dudes deserve to win and win big.

the more things change the more they stay the same, history doesn't repeat but it sure does rhyme.

on and on and on and on and on and on and on.. on..

I think I mumbled to myself about 10 times during that show "If only we'd had a quarterback..."

Think what Staff could've done with that offense. Sanders, Moore, Perriman, Morton....could have been scary, scary good.

He made a lot of really good and great players look absolutely stupid...and he did it often.

that show was great. damn i totally forgot how pissed off i was when he retired until i watched that.....totally reminded me lol.

the shots of him sitting on the sideline dejected after playoff losses is very depressing.
