Ben Carson didn't lie

Uh oh. I guess its not fair when there's a made up controversy about your guy, is it?. See Obama birthplace-gate, Benghazi, Clinton emails, gay Obama rumors, tranny Michelle, etc. This is insane that you people are so upset. Its obvious to anybody with a brain that Carson has fabricated much of his past and now you're angry that he's being questioned.

Where was this anger when Obama had right wing sheriffs and politicians looking into his birth? Politico didn't do their job. Wouldn't be the first time a news org (lib or con)either fabricated a lie or didn't research good enough and still published.

I was a finalist (one of 16) for a scholarship to Michigan in vocal performance during the summer before my senior year at Ann Arbor Pioneer when I went to the state of Michigan choir camp at Interlochen. I didn't win.

Back in Ann Arbor, my private voice teacher who was married to the director of choral operations with the school of music asked me if I was going to go to the school of music and study vocal performance; my answer was "well I don't know that I woould necessarily be accepted."

Her answer was "well that's not going to be an issue."

I ended up not applying (to the school of music; obviously I applied to Michigan).

During my senior year at Michigan, the head of the theatrical performance department pitched me on continuing at Michigan after graduation, pursuing an MFA in theatrical performance.

I decided to come to Hollywood instead.

So yes, it is very possible that General Westmoreland spoke to Ben Carson about attending West Point giving him the assumption that he would be admitted should he choose to apply.

Although if that's what happened I would suggest to Ben Carson that he should quit whining about witchhunts and the like and simply explain it.

Who cares if he lied about West Point or not. We're talking about a person who hit hit mother over the head with a hammer and claims to have a pathological disease that attributed to his violence.

Yeah... not a guy I want as our president by any means.

Well we've had a sexual predator serve two terms and now his enabling wife wants her turn. No thanks.

Semantics... where's Gulo Blue?

he didn't lie, he just embellished a lot. or alternatively Carson was "not 100% accurate" as he later said.

Either way, playing the victim here is pretty lame. he has no record whatsoever to stand on... he's never held a public office before, either through election or appointment, and he hasn't even put any substantive political positions forward; all he's done is engage in your run-of-the-mill pandering to mouth-breather talking points (comparing liberals to Nazis, denying evolution, pro tax cuts, saying nice things about guns, etc.).

of course the media is going to scrutinize his personal history... that's literally all there is about his candidacy to consider.

He's supposedly such an amazing person, he'll be a great president... but there's nothing to support that claim, we just have to trust him. Just like there's no evidence he ever defended white kids from a riot, or met General Westmoreland. Why question it? Just vote for him!

I had an opinion here, two actually; maybe I forgot to post.

1) given the level of detail I've read (little), I'll buy his explanation. If some high enough ranking guy from West Point said I'd get in if I wanted to go, I might say I was offer a full ride there. To me, the fact that he gets the tuition structure wrong is consistent with his version of the story and why he be bragging about it. "Hey, I got a full ride!" "You dolt. Everyone gets a full ride."

2) Maybe I have the details wrong. That's because I'm not digging into this issue or anything about Ben Carson. I'm not interested in him. He's just another person that makes me disappointed in the republican party. Even if you accept the most democrat-biased version of this story, whatever that is, it shouldn't make your top 5 list of reasons you won't vote for Ben Carson.

sexual predator? I think you mean Adulterer. That's like calling a bicycle thief a murderer.

Ben carson in a nutshell; He's either a guy who has stabbed a man, beaten somebody with bricks, and tried to kill his own mother OR he's lying about that past in order to show how much of a godly man he is...because you know, Jesus saved him.

Carson is unqualified for the presidency. As much as I dislike the other Republican candidates, most of them are okay people. I can't say that about him. And it kills me because my son's school has a reading room named after him.

it is INSANE that Donald Trump looks SANE, and reasonable by comparison.

I was thinking about that this morning... if you told me one of these clowns was going to win in '16, and then that it was Trump, I would breathe a sigh of relief.

Trump's strategy (if you can call it that... it might just be dumb luck) has worked pretty well!

For those interested, here's a post on another likely "embellished" excerpt from Ben Carson's autobiography, which - to me at least - sounds like it should be re-categorized as a work of fiction.

The excerpt cited here, about his supposedly being the only honest student in a Yale course of 150, was also called into question by another "Lib Media" source, the Wall Street Journal, which could find no record that class ever existed at Yale.

The post I linked to here also claims Carson conflated his memory of being the only honest person to re-take the exam (for which the professor awarded him $10, because that kind of thing happens in the real world) with a prank post in a Yale student newspaper that reported students would have to re-take a particular exam (they didn't) and some actually showed up and took it.

anyway, the excerpt from Carson's book is hilarious, mostly because it reads as though it were written for a high school freshman creative writing course. Just reading it should make your bullshit detector fly off the charts... unless you don't have a bullshit detector...

I'm guessing he's talking about earlier, governor stuff.

Maybe he's talking about Paula Jones when he was governor or he could be talking about his sexual predation of Kathleen Willey during his first term in the White House. Either way, he has a long history as both a serial philanderer and a sexual predator. And he hasn't changed a bit, as we saw w/ his 21 phone numbers in the records of his billionaire buddy, Jeffrey Epstein, who pimped out teen-aged girls to high profile clientele. And the Dems still love him and still sweep every controversy under the rug for him and his wife. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. 21 burners in the records of a guy known for pimping out teen-aged girls! That's amazing.

well, and more so because the voice in his head later "talked to him" and convinced him to be less violent.

We don't need a president who listens to imaginary voices... we need a sane man or woman. But not Hillary Clinton.

I feel a need to add that as my email signature because it seems you can't discuss current candidates/events without Republitards ranting about the Clintons. It's a little odd.

You guys blast president Clinton about his adultery but wink, wink in regards to your Savior George Bush and his lying claims about why we should invade have invaded Iraq.
Spartamack you are always telling me to stop bringing up Bush so why don't you guys do the same thing with Clinton?
Heck that was in the 1990's LOL!!!

I do not Condon anything Clinton did to have sex and lie about it in office but you guys act like both republicans and democrats never get caught at doing this when both parties have been caught plenty of times when it comes to sexual deviation.

Ben Carson.. That guy is crazy scary that he is this close to the presidency in my opinion.

Struggling to follow the thread again, Bob? I didn't bring up Clinton, I was merely confirming the statement that he is a sexual predator which was made and challenged by others. But do you really think it's irrelevant given that the reason he was brought up was because his enabler is currently seeking his old office?

I also never said anything about Repbublicans innocence when it comes to adultery - those are your words, not mine. But since you bring it up, remind me which Republican President(s) has been accused of sexual assault while in office or any other time before or after, which are known to have had an affair with a staffer while in office and which had 21 burners in the records of a guy known for pimping out teenagers?
