Edit: the article says she's a UC Berkeley Professor, which is totally believable, but the Chronicle oped written by her, which I don't have full access to is entitled "S.F. High School Students Get a Lesson in Subtle White Privelege" - for some reason, her LinkedIn profile is no longer available. I'm gonna give UCB the benefit of the doubt and say this loon is a whacked out HS teacher.

Well, a teacher in San Fran would prefer if he had attended the Inauguration naked with an underage boy...err, trans...equally naked sitting on his lap. Wasn't the inauguration 2 weeks ago? "Woke Liberals" on twitter were attacking him over this already, but initially it was over gender, i.e. "a prominent woman would get attacked for dressing like that" (which ignored that Janet Yellen dressed the same way there)

and it doesn't say he's a white supremacist (even in the headline... come on man, get your trolling right).

It should be pretty obvious from the post that I don't think Bernie Sanders is a white supremacist (that's called hyperbole) and that I'm mocking the identity politics, not piling on - In the very first sentence I did say the article was garbage and that if Bernie can be scolded, no one is safe from the woke scolds after all.

Here is the thing - everything every white man, and almost everything every white woman, does, is rooted in their white privilege.

I think what you're referring to here is sin in general not original sin - baptism absolves the baptized of original sin.

Edit: reading up on Original Sin in Wikipedia seems to indicate you're correct - it's the Christian doctrine that humans inherit a tainted nature and proclivity to sin through the fact of birth. Wikipedia also says it has little basis in the bible and could be based on a mistranslated passage from Paul the Apostle's Epistle to the Romans. my bad, apologies to you.

That’s just how I remember it being taught in catechism. Original sin goes back to Eve and Adam in the garden of Eden, and at that point became inherent in human nature.

As far as what baptism does do and doesn’t do, I am the last person who is or would claim to be an expert in the Catholic sacraments.
