Best =Crosby?

put him in a room with 3 days of Barry tape and let him watch it , that little bastard was a legend at avoiding the big hit.

Never saw him take one. Guys were too afraid to attack him for fear of being humiliated.....which eventually they were anyway.

John Lynch got him once. Just watch a few games he does, eventually he'll tell you about it. I think it was his proudest moment.

You ever watch St Louis and the greatest show on turf? Those wide receivers, Holt and Bruce and even Hakim, were famous for avoiding hits. There are ways. Play smart.

You do realize all three of the players you mentioned were WR's right? Big difference.

No. Avoiding hts is avoiding hts. When Best gets in the open he needs to stay away from the big hit.

Thanks captain obvious. He should also try to avoid tacklers, just in case.

And it's not nearly as easy to avoid hits for a RB. Do they run in as much space as WR? No. Its also illegal for a DB to hit a WR in the head, it is NOT for a RB. Most hits for a WR come from DB's. Most hits for RB's come from LB and DL.

HUGE difference in the positions as far as taking hits is concerned. HUGE. You gotta know that.

If were as easy to avoid big hits as you suggest it is, there would be far fewer concussions in the NFL. Fact is, it isn't, especially for a RB.

How many times do you see a RB who instead of going out of bounds he takes on the defender instead. Almost like they feel "Its about time I hit them". An ego thing. For a TE its okay but not smaller running backs. Just get out of bounds. Of course they're going to get hit but limit it.

Crosbys out again...and for a while.

this concussion shit is serious buisness , it's going to shorten alot of careers in both hockey and football.

Franco Harris always avoided contact..

Critics, including Jim Brown, have complained about Harris' tendency to run out of bounds instead of taking on tacklers for extra yards. Harris responds that he extended his career and thus his contribution to the team's objectives (including four Super Bowl victories to Brown's single pre-Super Bowl NFL Championship) by avoiding unnecessary contact.[5] Critics have highlighted Harris' running back record of 90 total career fumbles
