Sorry bro, but I don't think the app is racist. Every big city I've ever gone to has sketchy neighborhoods and every single one of those neighborhoods are low income. And amazingly, most of the people who live in those neighborhoods are black or hispanic. I don't really see a point to the app unless you're traveling in a city that you've never been in, but I really don't believe the claims that it's racist.

Of course, not all black or hispanic neighborhoods are going to be sketchy, so if the app is using race as the sole reason to calling an area sketchy...then I'd say it's racist. I just don't see it in this case.

Took a drive down a few streets of my child"hood" in the D last summer, plus to view the ol' family home (still standing). My neighbor who tagged along for the ride was soon begging me to leave ASAP...lol.

I used to walk down the alleys @ night back in the 60-70s, but wouldn't do the same on the sidewalks nowadays, even in broad daylight.

It bugs me... I mean in the early 1980's I went to live with my cousin in Houston for a few months... Back right after high school when I was in good shape and could still run and play basketball... He did not live in a great area. I went to the park every other day to play basketball and sometimes I was the only white guy...Once I got on the court and played there were never any problems.....
