Speculation increasing that Bloomberg might enter the fray. Why not? Current slate of dems are a disastrous bunch of socialists bordering on communist ass clowns. Except for Tulsi. Don?t love parts of Bloomberg but willing to consider and waaaayyy better to have a business guy than any f?in Politico.

If he does I?ll still vote for Tulsi in the Cali primary.

I don?t know how much chance there is he?ll get in.

It would be a futile effort in a desperate attempt to stop the political juggernaut that is Trump.

So...just heard a report he’ll be filing in Alabama today to be on the primary ballot. The deadline there is today...so...who knows?

Kinda crazy, I saw a stat that noted Bernie has raised $70 million total so far, entirely from individual donations, the vast majority of that through donations under $200. His avg. donation is just over $27, I believe.

That amount represents 0.00137, or ~0.1% of Bloomberg's $51 Billion fortune.

insane.

I wonder what his pitch is going to be. Will it be “policy wise, I’ll be pretty much the same as Trump, but I won’t be anywhere near as much of an asshole.”?

I also saw that. Bernie strikes me as the type of candidate where similar to Trump, polling may not accurately show the actual support he has. They both seem to appeal to the person that doesn't usually vote.

Is he really even really a Democrat? How many different party registrations did he have while he was serving as mayor of New York?

He and Trump are both like that. All over the place as far as party identification.

billionaires have no party affiliation beyond greed; whoever sells out to them will get their support/vote/money. if they feel it's in their interest to push for low taxes for billionaires as a Democrat, they'll run as a Democrat.

...and all billionaire bootlickers like jdillcosu and tomdullton care about is that billionaires continue to exist to rule over them.

Billionaires blow.

they should not exist; tax them out of existence. put their money to productive use.

C?mon, Champ. Here I am not looking for a fight, just sharing perspective with the group and you have to drag me down into the socialist gutter. Hell, make it the communist gutter.

I have no idea why someone would have this opinion. That's like saying that all lawyers blow. How can someone who claims to be "liberal" be so closed minded.

True intolerance lives on the left. Been saying it for decades.

First of all, I am not a liberal. I voted for Bernie in the primary; and had to hold my nose to vote for Hillary in the general.

I have these opinions because I follow the teachings of Christ. Even though I'm an atheist. You see?

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth? (Matthew 6:19)

"What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit His life?" (Mark 8:36; Luke 9:25)

"Foolish is storing treasure for self; not being rich toward God" (Luke 12:21)

"It?s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for the rich to have eternal life" (Luke 18:24-27)

Also, pay your fucking taxes:

"Then Jesus said to them, "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's." And they were amazed at him." (Matthew 12:17)

bless you, tomdullton

Cherry-picking The Gospel--that you reject--disqualifies you to use any of it to prove a point, unless you believe every word of it.

It's an all-or-nothing kind of thing.

The "tribute to Caesar" question was meant to be a trap that Jesus circumvented by nullifying the original question: "Tell us therefore what dost thou think, is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?" If he answered yes, then he was rendering Himself irrelevant. It he answered no, he was treasonous.

(Matthew 22:15-22)
15 Then the Pharisees going, consulted among themselves how to insnare him in his speech.
16 And they sent to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying: Master, we know that thou art a true speaker, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou dost not regard the person of men.
17 Tell us therefore what dost thou think, is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 But Jesus knowing their wickedness, said: Why do you tempt me, ye hypocrites?
19 Shew me the coin of the tribute. And they offered him a penny.
20 And Jesus saith to them: Whose image and inscription is this?
21 They say to him: Caesar's. Then he saith to them: Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God, the things that are God's.
22 And hearing this they wondered, and leaving him, went their ways.

The context of this pathetic challenge was that Jesus was admonishing the Pharisees for rejecting Him, and they didn't much take to that.

This is my favorite part ? when they show Jesus the money with Cesar?s face on it.

I?ve always thought it was the inspiration for this scene:
