Ferndale born, Hazel Park High School, EMU. Dodgers, A's. 1990 CY winner. 1978 K of Reggie in the WS to end a 4-3 win in G2. Played against him in High School ? cannot find details of his passing.

weird. The only site that has him dead is Wikipedia. No other story on the internet. You would think that there would be something out there.

Unfortunately, he was estranged from his family. He was a difficult person to get to know. He wasn't a bad person but one that was difficult to connect with. He was what he was. He was not MLK or Ghandi. He was very knowledgeable about baseball and the art of pitching. He could beat Mike Tyson's ass for sure. I loved the guy but he wore thin on me late in life... I could not fight in bars anymore. He gave a lot of money away to people that needed it. He was one of the toughest guys I ever met. He could kick anyone's ass.

Hiller just texted me... YOUR ON YOUR OWN

How is it you know these guys? From high school baseball, maybe?

I actually knew him and his family. I was a pretty good athlete in my day and played with a few "show" guys in the Detroit area. Legion Baseball. I was never good enough to make the show in any sports myself. I grew up in the inner city and was involved in the wrong things. I was looked at as more of a problem than an athlete back in them days. I was a boxer more than anything. Grew up in Cronk. I am friends with many athletes, some good and some bad... I am a man's man so to speak. I have turned my life around and am very active in the community these days for what it's worth.
