Espn has a article talking about the Packers success via draft compared to the Bears. Packers currently have the most success in the league with 33 players on their roster via draft. Here is the graph:

wow....2010 & 2011...that is some shitty drafting!!!

In Mayhew's defense, Fox and Willie Young are still in the league...but yeah, it's not pretty. If Fairley sucks this year, 2011 will look like a total disaster.

so over half of them are from our last 2 drafts. which is why we suck as an organization. if you draft good than you can resign your own after you groomed them....we don't do either of those.

2012 draft might have a lot of players still on the team but outside of Reiff it's pretty weak.

Good organizations need 3 starters per draft in order to deal with turnover and the current state of free agency. Weve done that once.....in 2009. Yet, mayhew still has a job somehow....

The first time I made the post I only came up with 22. I completely forgot about the guys on the practice squad or guys that rarely, if ever, see a snap....which apparently are counted in this article.

Last year Ansah, Warford, and Martin all started. But your point remains, 2 years isn't enough.

2014 Tate and Ihedigbo-2
Ansah,Warford,Waddle, and probably Slay (maybe Taylor) with Quin,Bush,Jones-7
Reiff, Bentley in nickel . Plenty of added starters in 2012.-2
Fairley is all they got in 2011 but then you look at Tulloch added then and Houston re-signed-3
Suh, Willie Young (now Jones or Taylor), traded for Sims with draft pick-2 (3)
Stafford,Pettigrew,Levy (Delmas for awhile)-3 (4)

With the mix of drafted starters and free agents, Mayhew has every position set. That's 19 of 22. We had Calvin and Raiola pre Mayehw (both re-signed by Mayhew)

Only short position is third WR due to insanity of Titus and injuries to Broyles. Trade up for Watkins it is.

Tons of good starters on this team.

Houston and Slay>Gilbert/Dennard (both falling)
Jones and Taylor>Kareem Martin or Scott Chrichton

Give me Watkins or if you stay at 10 Ebron plus still use Pettigrew>Pettigrew/Fauria (as down the seam guy)

Long term Gilbert and Martin could be good picks but 2014 the starters are already on the roster.

Until we draft one of them and then it will "he's so awesome"

They will be so awesome on the bench in 2014 other than Watkins or Ebron.

Jones/Taylor win the job
Houston/Slay win the job if both healthy

thanks for agreeing with us LKP. We are talking about our shitty drafting so you decide to talk about free agents....im assuming that means you agree with the fact mayhew hasn't drafted worth a shit.

He's done well with both. Good drafter and good in free agency and re-signing his own talent.

A+ for Mayhew

At 10 they should be starting right away or it was a bad pick. I don't care if it takes 3 years for a CB. We could use a starting DE, S, LB. You can get one at 10 and they'd be starting or should.

HA HA, he'd be perfect, bam starter. A LT, move Reiff to RT and Waddle is depth. So many ways to get a starter at 10.

Gilbert/Dennard, Dix and Round 2 DE wouldn't win the starting job in 2014. Doesn't mean they are bad picks though. Lions are set for starters, 10 is for the future.

when you draft for the future every year...and the future never comes.....that means your gm sucks ass. nice job millen jr!
