Cabrera and Fielder will have legendary 2nd half

One can only hope. Fielder looking pretty good going into the break. Getting hot along with the weather. I think he's going to have a big ASG too.

Hope so... You have been right about the sox so far... Never mess with the Sheed!!!!!
:)

For them to do that, Jackson and Berry will have to have HUGE 2nd half's as well. Without them, Cabby and Prince won't have that chance.

As position players go, AJ has been Detroit's first half MVP. Its not a fluke anymore, whatever kink in his swing he had, it's certainly now fixed.

I went AJ because its such a surprise, a big boost from 2011. Miggy who has been mashing is still off from his last 2 years. Either way, both good.

I know it's a small number of games, but the difference is there...

The Tigers are 36-28 this season when AJax plays. 8-14 without him.

He's also been, statistically, their best hitter in the first half.

If you look at those stats a little differently you could argue that it's Miggy because he hasn't missed 22 games.

Fair enough, I'm probably looking into other stats too much. You're right, Cabrera has ~100 more PAs and has mostly been a factor every game, not just 3/4 of them.

I didn't consider this much in my post, but Jackson's defensive value can't be ignored either.

Off-topic, but just looking at some defensive stats. Atlanta's OF defense looks like it's been amazing this year.

You are right.....I think AJ is the only Tiger's every day player that is a good defender.

Good call. Our 3-4 hitters have hit roughly .320 combined with 74 HRs and 245 RBIs. I don't think anyone could have asked for much more out of them as a pair.

That is the production from the 3 & 4 hole since they prety much hit there all year without much rest.

The TOTAL production for the 5-9 hole is 57 HR and 301 RBI. That is the problem with this team!
