Caldwell in negotiations

He's a Dungy guy. Let's hope this doesn't signal the return of the Tampa 2 that led us to a marvelous 0-16 season.

I posted it before....last time we started 6-3 and finished 1-6 we went 0-16 the following year. All the starts are aligning! Get your Jameis Winston jerseys on order fellas!

If we hire Jim Caldwell I will fucking vomit. I would rather have Schwartz back in all seriousness. Jim Caldwell is fucking terrible. It is starting to look like I will have to buy a Luke Kuechly jersey next year. Fuck this fucking, cock sucking, monkey sack of shit organization. I hope WCF and Junior die in the most agonizing way possible and soon. Fuck the Lions.

I`ve read a few baltimore articles saying that if Caldwell isn`t given a HC job by the end of the month he may be fired anyway. Apparently they are not happy with a 29th ranked offense.

Swell..

Arizona here I come ..back where I started from. FU Detroit.

According to reports, both Dungy and Peyton called management and rec'd Caldwell. I was a Whis guy, but I just want wins. I don't care who the coach is.

Peyton called? I think they're fking with us. "Let's recommend Caldwell, wink wink"

I highly doubt that Manning called in support for Caldwell. Manning is a football genius and he knows that Caldwell is a fucking loser.

They're probably all buddy-buddy, so it wouldn't surprise me.

If I was Mayhew:

"oh hay Peyton. yah....uh huh....k....gotcha, ok so heres the deal....ill hire Mr Caldwell....you get dungy and yourself on a plane to Detroit for new contracts....I trade this bum Stafford by tomorrow morning. Deal?"

So the Ravens don't even want him as a coordinator yet he's at the top of the list for this pathetic franchise.

Like I said, I just want wins. I don't care who the coach is. Caldwell was bad at OC in Baltimore. He probably won't be calling the plays in Detroit. Peyton probably called because Caldwell was his QB coach when he came to Indy, and attributed him to helping him be a better QB. Which is exactly what Detroit needs. I know I wasn't the only one who was impressed when the reports came out about reviewing every Stafford imcompletion during the interview.

"I already had told [Lions GM] Martin Maywhew that Caldwell is a great match for a team that has the personnel of being capable of playing in the Super Bowl," Dungy said. "I think the Lions were not only impressed with Jim's interview but they were pleasantly surprised by the number of former Colts players who called on his behalf. Jim made Peyton Manning an even better quarterback -- look at the numbers and wins -- and I think he can do the same for Matthew Stafford.

Apparently that never happened. Stafford denied it, and said they only talked general scheme.

Of course he's going to vouch for the guy as friends who worked together for years. If you have Dungy begging on your behalf and teams pass or are still on the fence that should tell you something right there. Plus they knew all this Dungy stuff before and let him walk and interviewed 4 others and gassed up the jet for 1.

If we hire Caldwell, I'm going to hope for the best but (like everything the Lions do) expect the worst. If he helped Peyton improve as a player, great, we have a QB who needs the help. If he's going to bring the Joe Flacco experience to Detroit (without the Baltimore D), then it's going to be a train wreck.
