Caldwell on fixing Stafford's accuracy

Goes all in on Matt? Why wouldn't you? He's shown his skills as a QB multiple times. He's still only 25-26 years old. You rip this organization and Schwartz for saying that Stafford isn't the problem and doing nothing for the last 4-5 years. Now you rip on Caldwell for saying he has some flaws and wants to help him. We have brought in some QB guys, LEGIT QB guys now and you still fn bitch..lol. What do you want people to say? What on Earth makes you happy, you miserable motherfker?? I don't get it...

Results would make me happy. Mayhew getting canned would make me happy. Mayhew threw all the chips in on Stafford before he even knew what he had. His cap number is so astronomical we couldn't even get rid of him if we wanted to. So hes had some down years and instead of adjusting we just keep catering to him more and more and more. You guys keep saying "its not on Stafford...you lose as a team." THEN BUILD A TEAM. Stop fucking doing everything for 1 guy on the team. Why do you think he gets so much backlash? They brought in a ton of offensive minded guys to work with this whole offense, not just Staff. The window is closing a bit...playoffs in at least 2 years with Matt or he's gone. comp % is slightly sad for how short he throws the ball most the time....but I actuslly think that can be worked on and easily improved with better targets and a better scheme. I don't know if a first time o cords scheme will be better than linehans....I do know linehan did a lot of stupid shit....a lot lol. So im actually looking forward to change as far as that goes. Pocket presence and footwaork has a lot to do with your plan and knowing where to go with the ball. Linehans offense seemed like if his first priority was taken away he automatically got happy feet....he didnt look prepared....ever. fixable in a good scheme i think. Now the bad news....The bigger picture problem I see is that we have a qb that as soon as something starts to go wrong...the entire team folds like a straw shack in a tornado. Multiple seasons where were in decent shape and then just go on 0-8 run. I know its kinda clich? but special qbs don't let that happen. To me that's what makes him very average and the sooner we make decisions to help the team and not to help Stafford....the better.

Why two years and would a playoff in two years but no playoff win make you happy or content?

And 'hughes is right about the building a team. We ache each year about the lack of sacks, lack of turnovers, lack of a secondary - yet we do nothing to fix it. And all everyone does is "well we got the draft" but then point out CB don't do well year one..etc. if the SB told us anything, a defense beats an offense.

We better get a DE, CB, and a S in those first three rounds. WR it's suppose to be deep take one in the fourth.

Holy schnikes!! I agree with ya!! lol. You hit on some solid points. Linehan was a joke, he always was. I look at it like this. I love Stafford, always did, loved the pick etc etc. He's not Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers. That's what people need to realize. Forget about the money (I know, it's ridiculous), forget about the comparisons and all that shit. He was blessed with a STUD in CJ and then........nothing lol. I have come to realize that he is a very good QB who NEEDS more help. It's just that simple, he's not going to turn duds into studs. Doesn't work that way with him. Now in no way is that a knock on him because I think he's more than capable of winning a championship for Detroit. BOTH sides of the ball need to work on this....

But we did acquire a hell of a talent at the WR position. A young, still hungry, talented and NOT beat up WR. His skillset was overlooked in Seattle and I think we got a steal in Tate. Laugh at his numbers and his lack of playing time the last couple of years in Seattle, but I watched this dude in college. And if you're a Michigan or Michigan State fan, you hated this fn guy when he played us. He was a playmaker in college and he's showed his worth in the NFL last year. Put him in a pass-happy offense and I for real see a 1,000+ yds and 8-10 TDs. And a guy who wrecks kids when he blocks and plays STs? Blue collar, baby!!! Honolulu Silver and Blue!!

Now the WR position isn't as much of a need in the draft and I was on the Mike Evans train, but I'm good with going D the first couple of rds. We still need a WR like you said. Remember, guys like Durham, Ogletree, Broyles and Ross are not scaring anyone IMO.

Or trade up and get Sammy Watkins and start asking, who the hell is going to stop us? lmao
