Cavs 128 Pistons 119 Final 2ot

I'm happy with what Weaver is doing with this team. They NEED to finally get into the top 2 or 3 with the lottery. Enough of picking 8-10 and trying to grab the 8 seed.

I hope Rose and Griffin play well enough over the upcoming stretch to warrant some trade attention from teams who are looking for veterans to push them over the top and are willing to give up a 1st round pick.

I know but Cleveland is bad also. If these kids can’t Play good verses shitty teams I really wonder what they will look like in a year or so. Keeping fingers crossed.

It doesn’t matter if we only won 20 and finish with one of the worst records. The NBA won’t let the Pistons have a top pick with the lottery system. Hopefully I am wrong but the way the Wings keep getting screwed I am not holding my breath.

It's 2 games Bob. Its like going 1-7 in your first two baseball games. And it's not like they have any talent around them.

This is such a stupid statement. The Pistons don't get a top pick because they are never shitty enough.

On the upside, Grant looked like a great trade asset last night. This team needs someone to take shots, and Grant ending up a 20 ppg scorer with decent defense could be enticing to better teams down the line. He won't be as good as yesterday every night, but likely not as bad as game 1 either.

I am not worried about the struggles of our younger players. Winning isn't really the goal, and with everything that's happened in the last year, it wouldn't surprise me if they need longer than normal to adjust to the nba.

There are some concerns, though. Why is Josh Jackson playing more minutes than Sekou and Bey combined? Yeah, he played marginally better than them, but so what? Jackson sucks as an nba player, don't waste minutes on him that could be developing actual long term rotation guys.

Why hasn't Stewart played yet? Is he hurt? Does the coach/front office think Okafor is some huge component of winning games (he's not)? Why in the world would you play a known loser (on a minimum contract) over your first round pick?

I'm less concerned about Rose getting more run than Hayes. Rose should net us a late first around the deadline, so teams need to see him play. BUT, he should be taking minutes from Wright rather than Hayes. That's not saying anything bad about Wright (who's played his role well), just realizing both Hayes and Wright are going to have all the minutes they can handle once Rose is gone.

This is true we are never bad enough to get a top pick but I am not holding my breath. We could have the best odds at the top pick, and we won?t get it, and until a Detroit team gets the pick they deserve I am not holding my breath. Just my opinion Tom. Also look at how the wings were screwed. They were the worst team by far, and we picked 4th. The Rangers picked first and the were the 18th best team in the nhl. Wings were dead last and yet the ping pong ball made has us pick 4th. Not holding my breath that the Piston will get a top pick.

Bob, the only way the Pistons give themselves a chance at a top 3 pick is putting themselves in position.

It sucks that the Wings or Pistons have not been fortunate to draft higher; however, all you can do is give yourself a shot. Fighting for the 8 seed and keeping their heads slightly above water has done nothing for this franchise the last decade.

They need to be terrible. I think Weaver recognizes that.

The best chance for the Wings to pick 1 is to not be the worst. But last 2 seasons I thought we selected well, Mo & Lucas Raymond.
