Looking at those accomplishments, it irks me that Gehringer doesn't get more press as a top 3 / top 5 second basemen all-time.
Hornsby, Collins, Morgan, Jackie, and a couple of others.
Morgan was a fine/great player, I just can't help but feel he is somewhat over-rated. The press does this more often than not. jmo.

Morgan is overrated. Probably because he was associated with the Big Red Machine. I agree there.

Tigers sure could use a Gehringer-type now @ 2B.

Even someone with the potential of a baseball career coming within ~half of his massively impressive MLB resume.

Morgan has also been in broadcasting for 30 years, so he gets love from being in the spotlight and by making friends in the media.

Charlie does not get the love mainly b/c he was so darned quiet. Best story: he was left-handed and the club got him right-handed golf clubs. So, he learned to golf with the wrong hand rather than make a fuss.

Charlie G... I remember using him a lot in my fantasy classic games over at Diamond mind online and he never did disappoint.... Great player... Great tiger and he should get more pub then he does...
