Chris Houston out?

green and greenwood have a pretty big leap to make in development before they can be considered starters. they might not be able to afford houston though, so might not have much choice. maybe bring back alphonso smith? ;P

They love Chris Houston. And they can afford him once they cut the dead weight of KVB and Peterman, extend Stafford(saves 4-7 million) and pay cuts for Raiola and Burleson. That's 23 million in room.

It all depends on they structure the contract. 5 year 50 million with a 10 million signing bonus for Brandon Carr and he had only a 3.1 million cap hit this year.

You know what's a great idea? Picking up on one random aspect of a good defense (tall CBs!), and not really accounting for talent, coaching, or scheme.

NOW there's a sense of urgency? This should be interesting.

Bartell, Greenwood and Green are 3 big corners. Houston is a priority and Bentley is going nowhere. Get Houston back and focus on DE, safety to pair with Delmas and guard to replace Peterman.

Bartell, Greenwood and Green. LMAOAOAOAOAOAOAOAOA.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA! MM is fucking clueless.

I don't think he meant just get tall guys. They need talent to but it makes sense to get CB at 6 feet or more. But those 3 haven't proven a thing so how can anyone get excited over that?

Greenwood on IR for abdominal injury? What kind of abdominal injury do you have to miss the whole season?

Gunther Cunningham, whoa der. Why do we always get fucktards? I think Ford hires these clowns on the Billy Carter 'leg up' plan, where you get a subsidy for hiring the mentally disabled.

I wonder if leshoure watches that and realizes it would take him 30 carries to run 105 yards lol.

Don't get me started. A second round pick to draft a 'complementary' running back, when most teams use a 5th or grab one cheap in FA. Ploddy McGee who scores 9, 1 yard touchdowns. Can he play nose tackle? He could be the next Refridgerator Perry!

I bet the guy that was ragging on new England for drafting vereen last week feels dumb. Oh wait...that was BOOGER!....nevermind....hes always dumb.

Late 2nd round pick using a 3rd and 4th round pick for a workhorse back that has a nose for the endzone. He can move piles but needs to work on decision making and hitting the hole hard. Hopefully he gains speed in year 2 after the achilles injury and works on the fumble isues that he didn't have in college.

1st round pick for an explosive game changing back using a 2nd round pick and swap of 4ths. Got very unlucky despite no symptoms he couldn't play in 2012. It's all how you word it.

Vereen went one pick before Detroit traded up. Not an option for Detroit. Ridley, Murray and Thomas didn't last until Detroit's 3rd round pick. I'm sure 5th round Roy Helu would have fixed everything. Plus we don't know how those guys would play behind Detroit's poor run blocking. And if you mention Alfred Morris who relies solely on deception from RG3, well don't mention him.

How about dont draft any rbs until you have an oline that can run block. Go get an undrafted guy cut by new orleans for all i care.

Sims did good job in run blocking. Gosder finally did a solid job in run blockign but lacks consistency. Peterman actually had a decent run block grade but wasn't consistent and sucked in pass protection.

Raiola and Backus sucked in run blocking(usually Backus is average) but both did well in pass protection. Reiff did well in both. Pettigrew didn't do that well the last 2 years run blocking.

The Oline will be changed at RG and Center and possibly Right or left tackle with Reiff as the new guy and a run blocking upgrade. Then we can judge LeShoure. Plus he'll have another year recovered from the achilles.

The problem is not when they picked LeShoure or that they pick LeShoure instead of some bad 3rd round guard like John Moffitt or Will Rackley, the problem was Backus and Raiola were needed in pass protection so they took the hit in the run game. And Gosder and Peterman are inconsistent. Plus Pettigrew and Backus regressed unexpectedly in run blocking.

And we have an undrafted guy from New Orleans. Joique Bell, nice to meet ya. It's funny who Seattle took with those picks that Detroit gave up. Guard John Moffit, who sucks and a little known WR in Round 4, Kris Durahm, now a Lion.

Not sure if serious, or just missed the point.

The point is it doesn't matter the order. You don't have to get Oline and then be like "ok it's time to finally draft a RB". LeShoure was worth the picks of a 3rd and 4th rounder and Stephen Peterman is better than Moffit, Rackley or Clint Boling(all the guards available in Round 3 2011) at run blocking in 2012. Seattle isn't even good at run blocking because of guards and Right Tackle. They had a stud LT in Okung, a stud Center and TOOK A GAMBLE (like Mayhew takes gambles) on a character risk trading a 4th and 5th rounder for 1st Rounder Marshawn Lynch. Plus they have a running QB in Wilson to add 489 yards.

Lions can upgrade their run blocking this year. Playing Reiff more is one way. We'll see what they do at RG and Center. Sims is good. Backus needs to get back to average or if he retires Gosder is fine to re-sign.
