Chris Houston out?

Not sure if serious, or just missed the point.

And also Joique Bell averaged 5 YPC with only 80 some carries though. I'm fine with a little more Bell over LeShoure if it produces results. I think Leshoure could average 4-5 YPC next year if they got some run blocking aid. Wouldn't shock me at all.

The point is it doesn't matter the order. You don't have to get Oline and then be like "ok it's time to finally draft a RB". LeShoure was worth the picks of a 3rd and 4th rounder and Stephen Peterman is better than Moffit, Rackley or Clint Boling(all the guards available in Round 3 2011) at run blocking in 2012. Seattle isn't even good at run blocking because of guards and Right Tackle. They had a stud LT in Okung, a stud Center and TOOK A GAMBLE (like Mayhew takes gambles) on a character risk trading a 4th and 5th rounder for 1st Rounder Marshawn Lynch. Plus they have a running QB in Wilson to add 489 yards.

Lions can upgrade their run blocking this year. Playing Reiff more is one way. We'll see what they do at RG and Center. Sims is good. Backus needs to get back to average or if he retires Gosder is fine to re-sign.

When you trade up to get a guy.....it should mean that guy is going top be a difference maker and youre ready for him to come in and produce. See ATL and Julio Jones.....he was the missing piece and then their offense took off. We trade up for a "difference maker/playmaker" and we give him a piece of shit oline to run behind. It does matter what order you do things in...especially when youre throwing picks/value away in the process. I was fine when we were trading away picks for starters like Sims and Houston. But lately weve been throwing picks/value away for the likes of Whitehead, leshoure, Thomas. Its not resulting in anything but a bunch of 1 yd touchdown runs.

Leshoure isn't nor was he supposed to be a final piece. We used a 3rd and 4th for leshoure not even close to what atl used to acquire Jones.

Why blow two picks on "not supposed to be the final piece"? When teams build extra picks are valuable. On the other hand when you draft linebackers and dbs who ride the pine and will be selling insurance in two years why not? I see your point now.

We gave up a 4th to move up and get leshoure, you guys have cried longer than most 4ths careers.

Oh, that seems to be all the rage with hughes and zyxt....no real football knowledge, just complaining, whining and a little vaginal bleeding.

The Lions need a pound the rock type of back. LeShoure fits that perfectly. He wouldn't have been there in Round 3, so you make the move using a 3rd and 4th.

Translation: can't break a run more than 16 yards.

They had Best for that. Got screwed when Best had zero symptoms. It happens.

2010 second half Lions went 4-4
2011 first half 6-2
2011 second half 4-4
2012 first half 4-4
2012 second half 0-8

0-8 was a fluke

No Best wasn't the reason they went 0-8. It was the fact the defense couldn't stop anyone when they needed to.

coming from the guy that never posts anything about any topic....just that the other person is wrong and then calls them a name. Everything I post I can prove.....the lions suck, the dline blows, our runs game sucks, mayhew cant draft worth a shit, mayhew doesn't fill any holes on defense, mayhew keeps drafting high round skill position players that don't produce. You can call it crying all you want....I call it factual evidence. Watch!:

the lions suck:

4-12. FACT!

dline blows:

avril and kvb were on it...therefor they blow. FACT!

run game sucks:
we cant run block worth a shit and our starting 2nd rd rb ran for 3.6 ypc, has a career long of 16 yards, and was outplayed by an undrafted player that was cut. FACT!

mayhew doesn't fill any holes on defense:

we started the likes of wendling, levy, kvb, Florence, Bentley, lacey, silva, coleman etc etc etc on defense this year. FACT!

mayhew keeps drafting skill position that don't produce:

leshoure 0 yards his first year. leshoure sucked his entire 2nd year. titus sucks and might not even be on the team anymore. Broyles...played a couple games and now he has no knees. FACT!

...

almost forgot.....ur a fag.

best didn't have many big plays in the run game....they were few and SUPER DUPER far between. most of his big plays came in the passing game.

LMFAO...i hadn't even posted anything in this thread and you bring me into it?

i've been relatively quiet lately all told. you hanging onto some previous topic or thread that got you all twisted up for some reason? pretty sad if that's the case.

green and greenwood have a pretty big leap to make in development before they can be considered starters. they might not be able to afford houston though, so might not have much choice. maybe bring back alphonso smith? ;P

oops, my mistake...i posted this. yeah, i see your point booger...whining bleeding vag of a post i made here.

please define how what this post says even remotely warranted me being included in your rant? please tell me you can detect the factual part in the 1st sentence, some legit concern that Houston might be taken away by another team able to offer more $$$ in the 2nd sentence, and pure sarcasm and joking around with the 3rd sentence - hence the ;P at the end of it.

booger thinks weve done a great job addressing the defense over the years. AKA...hes the most clueless fuck on the planet. don't mind him.

He helped us beat the Bears and Vikings with big plays. We don't win tough division games without him. That took the Lions from 4-4 to 6-2.

There are many reasons the Lions finished 0-8 but it was a fluke compared to how they performed in the previous 4 half seasons that won't happen again. 3 games we had playoff teams on the ropes and then not having any weapon but Calvin for the last 4 games. The Lions won't do any worse than 4-4 to start next season. Count on that.

So you are using the Lions history, as a barometer for future success. The Lions. The Detroit Lions. History. Success.
