Clowney

Someone go back through all of Staffords picks and see how many of them were passes that were tipped or dropped by his own receiver.... I'm sure the number is pretty high. Stafford hasn't been good the second half of the year, but then again neither have reggie or joique for fumbling, WR's and TE's dropping and tipping balls into the air. It is not ALL on Stafford though he is part of the problem and probably a major one at that, but it is just stupid and ignorant to say our second half woes are all on him.

I can't see anyone saying Staff had proper offensive weapons. Cj alone is not enough. With that being said, even if the top WR are me, lkp and Tony you need to be much better than 58%.

I just hope we get a very good coach.

and apparently I'm hearing CJ might have been playing with a torn PCL a lot of the year? It's Staffords fault none of our WR can get any sort of separation.

Some tips are the QB fault, ones where the pass is too far away and the WR barely gets to it. That's on the QB.

Yeah, with no other option at the #2 and #3 WR position. A TE that fn scares nobody and a LEAGUE LEADING amount of drops. Plus, how many fn fumbles do we have? Fuck that! How many RED ZONE fumbles does this team have? Stafford isnt playing up to par but he's getting fucked in the process. It goes both ways. Why cant you acknowledge that? Because he makes stupid money? Absolute bullshit and you know it.

I tried to acknowledge that calvin regressed and I got blasted for it lol. Durham has sucked since they day he got here.....but im not listing him as a reason because our dumb fucking coaching staff keeps putting him on the field and our dumber GM hasn't cut a guy that goes up with 1 hand everytime he gets the ball thrown at him. I don't know if Burleson has anything left cause staff only throws him the ball twice a game. Fumbles were bad, sure.....compounded by the fact our defenses cant cause a turnover to save their lives.

Because be didn't regress. Hey that was easy.

And youre going to get blasted for saying CJ has regressed. Wtf do you think is going to happen, man?

And youre not listing Durham??? lol Why? Oh because you say so? Dude, who else do they got?! Fn nobody, thats who. They dont have a choice to put him out there. They cant afford to cut WRs on this team. We're not the fn Denver Broncos where WRs grow on trees. Think man think !

Didn't Calvin openly admit that he had some nerve damage before the season even started?

ogletree is serviceable atleast.....we keep playing durham lol. its comical.

all the stats I showed you for every game after dallas says otherwise.....but to each there own. Who needs stats and production...I guess Stafford hasn't regressed either then, right?...cause worse stats means youre the same I guess.....

Not from last year because he sucked there is well. Regressed is not when someone goes from 1300 yards one year to 1200 the following year. CJ can only catch what is thrown near him. Has he dropped more, sure but that just means he's dropped more. Nothing else.

Yes dropped more, he's been insignificant in more games, his target catch ratio has been horrid the second half, he's not running very good routes, he didn't stretch the field at all after tge Dallas game....he turned into an 80 catch possession wr the 2nd half of the year....go get Danny a mendola if thats what you want.

Target catch ratio means we have an inaccurate QB. Duh.

But thats how people are being contradictory....the same people that bitch about staffs completion percentage and accuracy issues are the same people clamoring to keep pumping it in to calvin on game day....when reality is he's never been a very high percentage passer to calvin....sometimes due to bracket coverage, sometimes drops, sometimes staff blows.

We only say that when he throws to a covered Durham or misses Bush by 10 yards. A covered CJ is still a better option sometimes. But of those 50% non completed targets, less than 10% is the fault of Calvin.

37 catches on 77 targets the last 7 games....its not good. 48 % completion rate. 5 losses. 5 TDs. 37 catches in just about half of a year.....pedestrian for calvin. That's why I said he regressed. And the people that just start giving excuses saying hes injured.....in a backwards way youre agreeing with me. Im not saying hes not injured....im just simply saying his production is down and hes not impacting the game like he has before. To me that's regressed. I agree it probably because hes injured and staff sucks....but its still regression.

I'm not arguing that Calvin's production hasn't been down the second half of the year, but I will argue your use of the term regression. Regression means returning to a previous or less developed state. Injury is not a previous or less developed state, because injury is not a normal state of being nor does it actually affect Calvin's development as a wide receiver. Injury affects his physical speed and leaping ability, but that would not be reminiscent of a previous state nor is it an actual loss of currently developed skills. Calvin missing more balls thrown his way because he can't physically get to them is entirely on Stafford, and would not point toward a regression for Calvin. The use of regression in terms of skills and players is most often comparable to degradation. Calvin's skills have not degraded, nor has his healthy level of physical prowess. He's injured, the end. This seems to be the problem everyone is having. Regression implies he has gotten worse or returned to old (bad) habits, which isn't the case.

Do you even know the meaning of the word "regressed"? Especially when it comes to football? You're using the word a little too loosely, brother. You're saying Calvin is getting worse as a football player and so is Stafford. You're high.
Calvin is getting better every year and that's insane. Has he struggled at times? Of course, it's a long ass season but the man is the best in the business, nobody is close.
As for Stafford? He still keeps putting up ridiculous numbers and is actually improving on some. YES, he's played like shit but he's not getting worse as an NFL QB. Use the terminology correctly.

Never seen your explanation, bro lol ..sorry

his first couple years several analysts were critical of CJ for drops and his production compared to how many targets he was getting. I remember chris carter wouldn't even put him in his top 5 because of it. he had a major problem with converting targets into catches....soooo....by your definition....the 2nd half of the year hes regressed back to his old self production wise. Id actually say its worse than back then cause hed just streak down field and make up for it with a 60 yard bomb.....he doesn't do that anymore.
