I am convinced after watching home runs travel 482 feet in Houston that we have to change the configure of Comerica Park. Unless this team gets smart and builds the team with defense, obp, speed, and pitching. With gap to gap power with a few guys we can?t compete in today?s home run fest game ...Or just move in the fences too!

It's not the park, it's the players. Last night the Yankees had 8 extra base hits including 6 HRs. The Tigers had 2 XBH and only one was a HR.

Definitely the players. You ever notice that Lugo has a shift against him, why is that? Stupid young players. If you're not a power hitter than hit to all fields if you want to stay in the bigs.

Tired of the park talk. It works for both teams. Smaller park maybe we hit a few more home runs but so do they. We won't win more.

I've been saying this for awhile, the players they have are AAAA and never will be's with no plate discipline or pitch recognition. They swing at everything, so why should a pitcher throw a strike to them when they can get them to chase a foot down, low and away, a foot in up, or outside??
Before the salary dump, think of the players they had who could hit a ball a mile.
Now could or should they bring CF in 15-20 feet or the power gaps in 10/15 feet sure. Will they? Probably not.
