2019 NFL Free Agent Team Grades.

"too much money to Matthew Stafford, who isnt an elite quarterback" lol.

So ive seen a common theme among media outlets not giving us a very high grade for the off season. My take is we had a ton of holes to fill....and Quin did a good job filling a lot of them. We have almost zero depth. And the holes he filled werent with very high quality players. Flowers is an upgrade over Hand. Coleman/Melvin is probably an upgrade over Lawson. Amendola is garbage. Going into the draft we still have OLB/Edge, ILB, RG immediate holes. Could use an upgrade at WR and back up RB. Id give him a B for filling needs...but still has a lot of work to do.

I have thinking right along, this "fix the Lions" takes time to add depth to positions were there was none and too many decades of a couple of all time greats and a few star pro bowl types but not much else on either side of the ball.
Then, weed out the whiners from the workouts "too much running" get high character good players who played in MP's system with the Pats, get scheme fits and players who are versatile.
Almost there, almost meaning 1 to 2 years, leaning towards 2, just my opinion.
