Craft is a Mugging machine.

He gets away with contact because he is in position. The defender has just as much right to a spot on the floor as the offensive player. Nobody is used to that kind of play becuase nobody plays defense anymore.

No. If there is contact made and the defender is moving his feet, its a blocking foul. He has the right to a position if and only if his feet are set. Craft hits guys with his chest and shoulders constantly. Its a blocking foul, but if they called it everytime he did it, he'd foul out in 5 minutes.

That shit won't work when they get to the tournament.
For the record, Craft had a whopping 7 fouls called against him in three tournament games (94 minutes) last year. Which was right about his season average.

Edit: In the Kentucky game he had one whole foul called against him.

He plays differently in the tournament games, because he knows he won't get away with it and so do the other players. This causes the entire team to play worse than they should, which leads to them having exits earlier than they should (is that better than saying 'flame-out?') They'll get a high seed again this year and be out by the sweet 16 again.

And here comes Hungry with his conspiracy theories again.

You don't believe that the perceived 'top' teams get calls?

Ironically enough, I do watch a fair amount of OSU basketball. Whenever they are on TV, I watch them, because I'm pulling for them to suck. Why do you think the other PGs who go against them are constantly shoving him away? It's because he is putting his damn arms and body checking them all the fucking time. I'm not afraid to admit when my team has a player that gets away stuff. I think Burke does a fair amount of pushing off that doesn't get called in general. Just man up and admit that Craft gets away with A LOT.

They made it to the sweet 16 the past 2 years with their high seeds....how can they be out by the sweet 16 again?

I mean losing in the sweet 16 game or before. Was it really that hard to figure out what I meant? They won't make it to the elite 8.

Arguing with OSU fans about this is a waste of time. I agree with the OP. I work with associates who are MSU, PSU, and UW fans and they all agree with me. Every single fan of college basketball that I encounter, except OSU fans, says that OSU and Kraft get the benefit of a favorable whistle.

It has nothing to do with the team. I dont hate sullinger and hes a ton better. Craft just seems like a total douche who gets away with blocking calls

He gets away with more than any other defender I've seen in bball. The amount of hand checks that he puts on players (that get called 9/10) is out of this world. He earned his reputation as a hard defender, so he gets away with more. To be honest, it is pretty obvious watching it on TV.

Yep, homer OSU fan doesn't see it because he's a homer

back to homer OSU fan: They are only currently ranked in the top 5. That doesn't mean they are a top 5 team. Do you really think they are one of the top 5 teams in the nation? That is laughable. At the end of year, after the tournament, they won't be in the top 5.

Those of you who remember me from the old ESPN board know I am not a hater. I have great respect for the tradition of both UM football and basketball. Cazzie Russell is one of the all-time great college BB players and many here are probably thinking... Cazzie who?... you mean Campy?

Though not a hater myself, I understand hate and I get that Hungry hates OSU. Hate happens. What I don't get, however, is flat blind hatred that refuses to acknowledge a quality team/opponent. OSU may or may not end the season in the top five (they did last year, by the way) but to suggest that its laughable to think they have a shot is stupid and blind. Of course they have a shot, of course they have a great collection of talent and of course they are worthy of their current ranking.

None of this is to say they won't be upset in March. Even Hungry knows that all bets are off come Madness.

I've watched ohio play a couple games, and I think, given that it's shaking out that ohio is the best team in the Big Ten, and since the Big Ten looks like the best conference, top-to-bottom, I think ohio is a top 5 team.

However, that's mostly due to Sullinger & their inside play. I think Craft is good, but he's nowhere near as good as ohio fans think. He's not the best PG in the Big Ten, and he's not even as good as Darius Morris was his sophomore year.

Craft is not going to get drafted.

..... many here are probably thinking... Cazzie who?...

I was always wondering who that was. Is he a famous architect that attended UM or something? They're always saying he built Crisler. I wonder if he's been involved with the renovations.

Clever reply... Well done!

Craft is the snitch who cost Bruce Pearl his job at Tennessee and resulted in his 'show cause' status with the NCAA.

of course Pearl was a bald-faced liar and a scumbag ... but still.
