Crazy Trade Idea Thread

As I said, Jose Reyes was almost the best player in baseball for awhile last year. Guys have good years. If he continues to be this effective in all aspects then sure. I have to wonder if Quintin Berry gets hot, hits .320 this year (been around .300 since his call up) and does everything Trout does besides hit for power, is he going to be a top 10 player in the league? No.

(I realize he's older..just saying) 1 year means nothing...Austin Jackson had a hell of a rookie campaign and by the end of last year, virtually the entire board here was looking for his replacement.

Nobody who can analyze stats thought Jackson was a good player his rookie year.

And nobody who can analyze stats wanted to replace Jackson in CF, they merely wanted him lower in the order.

Okay, so you still have the fact that he's in serious decline plus makes an assload of money.

And even if he's tight with Cabrera, what about the 23 other guys in the clubhouse.

My opinion is he's not really any better then Peralta when you factor in his pricetag.

I'm just saying I don't think he would be an issue in the clubhouse, not whether he is an upgrade or not.

This. I thought he had a nice year given that he was a rookie with a new hitting coach etc but it was all about we were hoping he would have been moved down the order.
