Dan Dickerson + Mario Impemba to trade broadcasting roles at times during 2016 season

I've had the MLB.tv before and heard they have single plans this year, under $90, just for the Tigers for example. That's an option but I think I might just go audio this season.

We are now offering a Single Team Package for the yearly price of $84.99. Subscribers to this package can watch local telecasts of a selected single team?s out-of-market regular season games LIVE in full HD.

If, or when, DET plays a New York team, the MLBTV is blacked out, but I can still get the radio feed through the MLBTV app.
The regular MLBTV package is just $109.99 this year ($20 off last year) and it includes all post season games. Single Team does not. Plus I can watch any other team who isn't playing a New York team.

Believe me, if there was a cheaper way to listen/watch Tiger games in New York, I am all for it. But I am OK with paying to watch/listen to the Tigers all year round, not matter where I am outside MI.

What a rip.

What a rip.

IMO, live out of state it's a godsend. Sure beats $170+ on DirecTV. I'm just trying to save a little cash this year. Too bad Sirius/XM doesn't offer just a baseball package separately.

Price is meh, beyond repetitive but more insightful that Rod, I find him funny because I follow Fake Jim Price on Twitter who always posts his sayings and I found a drinking game online once. Other ones include:

"Keyhole"
"Arsenal"
"Late movement"
"Faygo the party pop for over 100 years"
"Wow"
And he butchers players last names constantly

Well the Faygo one is a paid spot when the Tigers hit a homerun. He has to mention it. Same as he does zuber buick when there is a double play, who in turn sponsor his wife/son's charity.

Dickerson does the homerun call. Afterwards Jim will say that's a Faygo homerun, and mention Faygo has been the party pop for over 100 years. (before it was 100 he would say 97,98,99 etc.)

I don't know if I could take another full year with Mario. He's prolly a great guy in life, but he just drinks that Tiger kool-aid a little too much.

My choice of pop when I still drank pop. I would think that could get annoying after awhile.

I have XM and love listening to a Tigers game next to a backyard fire. A few cold ones by my side in case the bullpen was involved.

Lol.

XM seems nice but 19.99 plus that 2-3 dollar charge just seems a bit much. I haven't ruled it out but Gameday audio just seems such a better option.

I have a decent deal and have one receiver which I use in my car and by the fire. My wife bought me the home receiver a 5-6 years ago. I found the same model for $12 after this original finally died. She also has XM in her van. I'm currently paying $18 a month due to go up to $30 in October.

That's probably your best bet. Play it on a laptop and hook up some external speakers so it's semi-portable (assuming WiFi range) and it's as good as having a Tigers affiliate radio station nearby.

My phone has pretty good audio so I'll try that first. I also like the fact I can listen to the away station from time to time as well.

I like listening to Dan and Jim on XM. Some Tigers fans don't like Price.
They Do tell it like it is alot more than Mario and Rod for sure.
Very Little sugarcoating.

Jim has great knowledge he just love Detroit so much it makes him come out as a homer.

Rule that out. Radio cost a bunch, activation fee of $25 and some royalty fee of over $2 a month added to the $19.99 per month fee.

The cell phone it is.. But the free version of Tunein has the station for the Tigers games. So I'm happy about that.

Tune in blacks the games out in Michigan

I bought I lifetime subscription to XM with the best of Sirrus radio. Made the purchase in 2009 for $500. I get to 3 radios during the lifetime then I lose it. I am on radio #2. An added benefit is you get the Phone App for $79 a year if you have lifetime subscription.

The phone app is awesome if you do a lot of travelling

No traveling here. I don't even listen to the radio much. I just wanted it for Tigers games and maybe Lions. Maybe they're have a sale.
