Who you got and why?

I think Pete Carroll is a slime ball and they have a Charles Woodson Cornerback and I hope the town with zero SB wins smashes Denver.. The whole nation will be rooting for Denver and Payton Manning.. Not me... Seattle 31 Denver 18.... I wish our defense was as good as Seattle's...

Why do you hate Denver so much?

Denver has been in 7 super bowls... I tend to root for the team with the less super bowl appearances or wins.. I Guess it is a town thing... (Just jealous I guess)
Maybe it goes back to the Woodson verses Manning thing..
seventh super bowl for Denver...Good enough for me. Even if it is a poor reason.. I was rooting for SF because of Jim H. even though that is getting harder to do..

Ironically, that's the reason I always root against NE. Lol. The only reason I root for Denver is because of Peyton. I was glad Seattle won, not a fan of SF but if Seattle wins the SB that's fine. As long it's not going to be SF or NE.

Well if Brady was not on NE I would probably not root for them either but NE also had a Michigan defensive back (Hall) I think back in the day..so Michigan loyalty's trump anything..
Plus Payton always looks so pouty after losing.. Which I find funny..

even though i dont really pay attention to the NFL anymore, i still hold an old grudge against denver from sb32, so i hope seattle crushes them. its hard to let go of old grudges lol

As a general rule, I hate teams that win a lot. Needless to say, I still hate Denver because of the late 90s. Therefore, I hope Seattle wins.

i cant insulate myself completely from the NFL, i have way too many friends who are still very vocal packers and lions fans, so im nominally pleased if they do well, but not upset anymore if they dont. i just got sick of the league itself.

Talking about looks, not pouty or anything but the Brady head bow when the two point conversion failed..awesome.

All leagues have problems as I point to the BCS years in college football..that was a colossal mistake.

Broncos vs Seahawks should be a good SB game, an unstoppable force vs an immovable object..or so to post. I will be rooting for Seattle partly b/c of the franchise's '05-'06 team (the first ever representing the city to play in a Superbowl), being the recipient of some controversial calls esp. late in SB XL @ Ford Field.

Seattle has had few (3) championship teams in the city's history, and it no longer has an NBA franchise, the Supersonics having moved to OKC and renamed the Thunder, and its has never had an NHL team. (However the Seattle "Metropolitans" (1915-24 PCHL) won the first ever Stanley Cup vs the Montreal Canadiens (NHA) in 1917-pre NHL). Denver has the Colorado Avalanche, who have won a couple Stanley Cups. The MLB AL's Mariners have never played in a World Series, much less won one...ala the Lions in the Superbowl era. The NL Colorado Rockies have also never won a WS, but have played in one in '07, getting swept by the Red Sox. The NBA Denver Nuggets likewise have never played in the NBA Finals in their history.

Denver: great offense with excellent passing game, and solid to good defense all around.

Seattle: absolute BEAST defense, particularly against the pass game, and a solid to good offense that likes to pound the ball.

Weather could significantly influence the outcome of this game, as extreme weather favors the Seahawks. I'll hold off on my pick until we know both teams injury lists and what the weather will be. Right now, I find it hard to pick against an extremely dialed in Manning with an excellent receiving core.

I remember when John Elway whined about possibly being picked by the then Baltimore Colts as #1 in the '83 NFL draft, threatening to "bolt" to play for the MLB NY Yankees instead.

Although he was selected by the Colts nonetheless, Elway was subsequently traded to the Broncos for their 1st round pick, OL Chris Hinton and QB Mark Herrmann. Hinton turned out to be a very good OL who made the Pro Bowl 6 out of 7 seasons, but for the Indy Colts, since '83 was to be the last season that the Colts played in Baltimore.

So the horse faced/teeth Elway ultimately got his wish, ironically playing for another horse-nicknamed team.

I think that is why I then took a dislike for the Broncos, b/c of the petulant Elway, after liking the franchise partly b/c of its color scheme and logo prior to his arrival.

I haven't seen it mentioned much, but this is an old AFC West matchup. The two were AFC West foes from 1977-2001.

Rooting for either of these teams is going to be hard... Denver has Elway who was a pussy and Manning is always easy to root against plus 2-4 in super bowls.. Easy to root against a city with 6 appearances...

Seattle has slime ball Carroll,,, The team has the most NFL PED suspensions since 2010 weird the timing in that. Tough call all the way around...

Root for a blizzard and 900 camera shots of Goddell freezing his ass off.

I like the fact that the game is being played outdoors where it may be cold. Isn't football supposed to be played outdoors?
