Denver Vs Seattle Superbowl prediction thread

Hockey is a sport that should be played outdoors, but north of the Mason-Dixon Line and not in cool fall weather, but wintertime and early spring. But football should end prior to the Winter Solstice, unless played south of the Mason/Dixon Line, IMO.

I remember building and maintaining an ice rink in my Detroit 'hood backyard from late December to early April in the 60s-70s. But by the 80s there began to be far too many complete thaws to do so, I lost interest, as well as having moved to an apartment in the 'burbs and being employed FT while lacking as much free time that I had when in school.

Not really sure how the bad weather favors Seattle since the city of Denver typically has worse weather than Seattle so it isn't like the Broncos are incapable of playing in some seriously bad weather, but that is just my opinion.

I cannot pull for ol' Pete. I honestly think Seattle has become my least favorite team solely because of him. I've spent most my life hating the Steelers the most and 49ers 2nd most, but found myself pulling for 9ers to beat Seahawks and honestly be,keve I would rather the Steelers beat the Seahawks if they were playing, which would be the first time in my life I would cheer for the Steelers. Yes, I really dislike Pete Carrol to that extent because he comes across as an absolute cheater and slimeball. I would feel bad for Seattle due to lack of championships, but hiring a cheater just overcomes my empathy on that. Fox comes across as a solid and decent human being, and while Peyton tends to be a slightly sore loser I can overlook that far easier than a guy who should only be looked at with distain at best in Carrol.

Honestly hoping Manning breaks all Super Bowl records and destroys Carrol by 60+ points.

Seattle's team is built around a great defense and running game. Denver is built around Peyton Manning and being able to pass the ball. It is known that Manning struggles passing the ball in cold / windy condions. Bad weather would definitely favor the Seahawks.

This. And it's not like Denver plays in that cold, snowy city - they have a dome.

Remember that Philly game, when we got ripped by them running the ball.

I think they play outside....but the weather in Denver is usually pretty nice. At times they will get a shit load of snow but then it is sunny and warm the next day.

What the hell was I thinking..

As much as I've enjoyed the playoffs this far I doubt I'll watch the SB. Too much bullshit. And a long ass half time show.

I'll be in Vegas. I will probably put some money on the game but most likely I will be playing blackjack until the 4th quarter.

Bruno Mars has announced that the RHCP have been added to SB XXLVIII's halftime show, so perhaps it will be better than many have been in the recent past. The Who were awful, Madonna was okay, but I don't really get into post turn of the century musicians or singers, due to my advancing age.

I usually go with the best QB and Head Coach but flip a coin really in this one. Denver

Not much I like once the 80's hit but I like the RHCP a bit not sure it's enough to watch the half time show. I did like Aerosmith when he was on some years ago..

I'm almost hoping Denver wins so I don't have to hear how much better Brady is much better winning 3 SB and how Peyton let another one slip away.

Plus, Seattle winning with a young QB, Avril and a bunch of other bullshit might be too much for me to take ;-). While they win, we're hiring a new staff.

I've never been able to cheer for Peyton although I find him a likeable person in interviews. I'd like to see Seattle win but that really depends on Russell Wilson. Can he handle this moment? Peyton has a chance to cap of a historic season with a super bowl and super bowl mvp title.

I'm torn on who think will actually win this game. I keep thinking Seattle wins with the better defense and running game. But Peyton seems destined to win this game. I'm going to say Denver 24-23.

I can't cheer for Payton or that phony John Elway.. I am glad he lost all those super bowls.. He was lucky they finally got a great line and Running back for his two..

But then again Pete Carroll is a slime ball.... I will root for the city of Seattle to get a title then turn it off..

seattle wont score enough and peyton will figure out seattles D on atleast a couple drives. 24-13 DEN.

as some of u know I lived in seattle for 11 years. so that's partially why i chose seattle
