Detroit 3 Boston 2 Final

I thought the D did a good job considering how the the offense could not do anything right for 2 periods. D and Howard kept them in game. that's how i seen it.

To many giveaways.. D played good just not great... They need to tighten that up and they also had trouble clearing the zone.. Howard was fantastic saving the D's butt time and time again..

He wanted Cleary on the team. That's cause for comment and questioning. And Nyquist was in GR for 15 games. Why, why, why? And that's not second guessing. Don't give me the "financial aspects." Deadwood is deadwood and the Wings extended Bertuzzi and brought back Samulesson and Cleary. The Wings are better in spite of these questionable signings, because I guess paying and playing these players was the only way to prove they were not as good as the kids who stepped up and replaced them. And I did not even mention Stephen Weiss.

I'm not saying the guy is perfect, but the fact that this team controls it's own destiny at this point is amazing considering all the injuries.

As far as the questionable signings, that's on Holland unless it comes out that MB was begging for Legwand/Samulesson/etc. But that's not happening, will just be speculation.

I only mentioned Cleary. Babcock wanted him back. That's crazy considering his ineffectiveness. Nyquist is a happy accident, because Cleary was so bad. Had he been even marginal, Nyquist might STILL be in GR! The COY talk is arbitrary. That he leads the Wings to a 14th-place finish in the overall standings is not all that impressive.
