That's the second straight week the Lions have had a questionable PI call against their defense eventually leading to a TD.
Last week was A 66-yard PI call on Nevin Lawson the NFL eventually said shouldn't have been called.
This week? A 16-yard PI call on Tahir Whitehead on Jordan Howard with very limited -- if any -- contact. It set up a Brian Hoyer-to-Eddie Royal TD.
Some Lions front office people, in the press box, seemed frustrated with the call.

Key stat for Lions in first quarter: Penalty yards (26), total offensive yards (21). And only one first down for Detroit.

Dwayne Washington officially questionable to return with an ankle injury for Lions. Eric Ebron has returned.

Kerry Hyder just picked up another sack -- that's No. 5 this season for him. Has one in every game. The Outback Steakhouse Bloomin' Onion is paying off.

Rough first half for the Detroit Lions. The offense was ineffective, low-lighted by a Matthew Stafford interception that seemed to be a miscommunication with Golden Tate and 99 total yards as the Chicago Bears lead, 7-3. The Bears have more passing yards with Brian Hoyer (165) than the Lions have total yards.

Anquan Boldin has tied Isaac Bruce for No. 11 in all-time receptions with 1,024.

Good defense from the Bears on the goal line to hold the Lions to a field goal. On third down, Detroit ran the inside trap. However, Bears LB John Timu blitzed the interior of the Lions offensive line to make the stop in the backfield. Bears lead 7-6 in the third quarter.

The Lions looked unprepared for the most part during their 17-14 loss to Chicago. They struggled on offense. They couldn't develop a pass rush on defense or stop tight ends in pass coverage. And offensively, they had their worst game of the season leading to their third straight loss.

The Detroit Lions -- especially on offense -- imploded Sunday in a 17-14 loss to the Bears. And it leaves the franchise's season on the brink four games in with Jim Caldwell on the hot seat. Again.

ANDRE ROBERTS BREAKS DOWN PUNT-RETURN TD.
The Lions didn't win, but Roberts took advantage when he got some space for a punt return in the fourth quarter. As he put it, "anytime you catch the ball with some room... you have to expect to score."
