Detroit Lions - Team Notes

Lions OC Jim Bob Cooter said it is kind of an "ebb and flow" scenario with Marvin Jones this season but believes he'll have some big games the rest of the way.

Lions DC Teryl Austin said he expects the "old DeAndre Levy" whenever he returns to the field. Didn't want to put a timetable on when he plays but he practiced Wednesday for the first time in months.

DeAndre Levy practiced for the second straight day Thursday and wore a light brace on his right knee as he comes back from a knee injury. Otherwise, all Lions players are accounted for.

IS KERRY HYDER A BUDDING STAR?
The Lions DE spent two years on the Jets' practice squad and isn't overly explosive. But you can't argue with his production, which landed him on Football Outsiders' list of unheralded studs.

WILL THE LIONS STOP LIVIN' ON A PRAYER?
Per ESPN Stats & Info, Detroit is the first team since Oakland in 1982 to overcome five fourth-quarter deficits to win in its first nine games. That said, FPI favors the Lions heavily over the Jaguars (68.2 percent).
