The 2014 season has been a tough one for the Tigers and their fans. It has had highs -- their record at the start and in September -- with an extensive lull of sub-.500 baseball in the middle. The Tigers went 27-12 to start the season. They are 16-10 in September. They went 47-50 in between.
That means they played under .500 during a stretch that encompassed almost 60 percent of the season.
