Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

Manager Brad Ausmus called Andrew Romine one of the "unsung heroes" of the Tigers, and that much was evident on the hustle play he made in the seventh inning that allowed the Tigers to score the tying run: "He doesn't get the 10-year, $200 million contract, but he's the type of guy that makes any team he's on better. I'm never surprised when he contributes."

In arguably the best start of his MLB career, Daniel Norris surrendered just two runs on five hits with two walks and recorded a career-high eleven strikeouts, all on swinging third strikes. Fastball was coming out out of his hand well, generating swings and misses. His slider was effective early. The few changeups he threw looked sharp as well. Norris was disappointed that he gave up the lead but definitely seemed amped about the growing sense of excitement as playoffs draw near. Said the standing ovation he received from Comerica Crowd upon exiting the game tonight was "special."

The Tigers enter Tuesday's game against the Twins with a 44-19 record against teams with a losing record this season.
They are 33-47 against teams that are .500 or better.

Tigers wanted to give Justin Upton an additional day off following left calf strain that forced him from last night's game.
Team does not sound concerned about him missing significant time.

As for injured 3B Nick Castellanos, he was feeling a little sore today after taking BP yesterday. Remains a possibility to partake in Jordan Zimmermann's simulated game tomorrow.
