Detroit Tigers Team Notes
Mellower Jim Leyland feigns grumpy "next question" reply - everything upbeat so far at Tigers camp.
Jacob Turner to pitch in exhibtion on Sat vs. Braves - good chance to check out his slider.
Following Doug Fister on mound for #Tigers Sat. at Braves will be @ballystar40, Phil Coke, Daniel Schlereth, David Pauley and Jacob Turner.
Miguel Cabrera stopped for a photo with a couple young fans after today's workout.

Leyland acknowledges DH is a "psychological" challenge for some hitters, meaning, in part: It's a nice pathway to a clubhouse problem.
Looking at likely Tigers 2012 scenarios: Delmon is moved. Dombrowski trades for legitimate DH as part of some inevitable deadline deals.
Why trade for a legitimate DH when we have Martinez coming back? ... No V-Mart till 2013. Probably will need 2nd-half DH.

Delmon doesn't want to DH. But the Tigers need defense in LF. Young can also hit -- LHers, anyway (.666 OPS vs. RH). This one's sticky.
DH market is also better in July.
attn: Inge lovers and haters - he'll start for Tigers at 2B on Sat vs Braves - "I'm ready to turn the page. I want stability again."
Saw Terry Francona today at Blue Jays camp. Agree with John Farrell, who said, "It seems like he's thoroughly enjoying what he's doing."
Francona, by the way, is doing Red Sox-Tigers opening day game for ESPN.
