Detroit Tigers Team Notes

Tigers come from behind to beat Toronto, 4-2...Quintin Berry's 2-run triple wiped out Jays' 2-1 lead in 7th. Dirks added RBI single in 8th.

Verlander started - threw two, routine shutout innings, gave up 1 hit, but faced min. 6 batters. Wilk followed with 2 more shutout innings.

Tigers scored first run on Young double, Avila bounceout and Raburn SF in 2nd. RBI gives Raburn 6 in last two days...

Coke and Pauley gave up a single run each...Benoit, Bootcheck and Ballester threw shutout inning apiece.

Bootcheck K'd 2 in 8th, and Ballester K'd 2 in 9th. Dirks finished with two hits, and so did Quinton Berry...only two Tigers with two hits...

One other highlight of note - Danny Worth made fine leaping grab of line drive in 6th w/ 2 on to start inning-ending DP, keeping game tied.

now 3-0 in exhibition season...head to Jupiter to play Marlins tomorrow...Porcello starts, Crosby and Smyly scheduled to follow.

Tigers next broadcast is Friday, here in Lakeland, when #Tigers taken on Phillies....we're on the air at 1pm.

Dotel is crafty veteran who gets lots of swings and misses, which makes him very valuable. Too early to say on 5th starter...
