Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

Something 'might' be up with Jacob Turner. He was assigned to Lakeland for a couple of starts and then move to Toledo to take Smyly's place. He hasn't and won't pitch through the rotation as of the first few games in Lakeland. Then again, they just might be waiting to align him into the rotation. Just hope he responded to the rest and treatment and there is no setback or worse.

Tigers off to 4-0 start after 5-2 win over the Rays in 1st gm of 3G series...Tigers again score late to win it.

Good pitchers duel between 2 good, young pitchers - 22 yr old Matt Moore and 23 yr old Rick Porcello...game was 1-1 going to the 7th...

Rays took 2-1 lead on Jennings IF single w/ Molina at 3rd...but Jackson - in a superb AB v. Moore - tied gm in bot 7th w/ HR to LF w/ 2 outs.

Then in 8th, Cabrera doubled off hard-throwing LH McGee, Fielder brought him home with sharp single to CF, and Tigers had 3-2 lead...

Young followed w/ single, after groundout, Peralta Sac Fly and Laird single brought home 2 final runs. Valverde closed it out w/ 1-2-3 9th.

Porcello was strong thru 7IP - allowed 2ER on 7H, 1BB/4K...sinker had good life all day...win goes to Coke, who K'd 2 in the 8th.

Jackson had four more good PAs today - should have walked in 1st (bad call on 3-2 pitch), walked twice vs. Moore, then finished with HR.
Thru 4G, Jackson is 9-16, has scored 7 runs, walked 4 times, K'd 4 times. Has two doubles, triple and HR. Excellent start.

Good defense from Tigers today - two fine plays by Peralta, Cabrera took double away from Longoria, Fielder nice grab of Pena line drive.

Getting a feel thru 4G just how potent lineup is w/ Cabrera/Fielder hitting 3-4: They've been on a combined 19 times in 4G, 12H, 6BB, 1HBP.

Inge begins rehab at Toledo on Tuesday.
DETROIT -- Brandon Inge felt last week like he could've been ready for Opening Day, but couldn't take the chance that his strained left groin might be aggravated into something worse. There was little question, though, that he'd be ready for a rehab assignment soon enough.

Inge will go on rehab with Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday night, when he'll be the designated hitter for the Mud Hens against Louisville. He'll play second base for the Hens on Wednesday and Thursday, stretching out to seven innings.

Inge is eligible to be activated from the disabled list on Saturday. If all goes well on rehab, he will likely be activated then.
