Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

I was at the game, sitting in row 2 of section 325 with a perfect view of the play. Maybe I need to see a replay, but I didn't have any expectation of Cabrera making that play, nor would I have of any third baseman.

Didn't look like a play could be made by MC or any 3B.

beat the Rays 7-2 - finish 1st homestand with 5-1 record. Drew Smyly rock-solid in ML debut, Boesch delivers 4R w/ 2, 2-out 2-run singles.

First 3 batters reached v. Smyly - bases loaded, none out in ML debut - and he got out of jam w/ 0R, K'd Zobrist and Rodriguez to end 1st.

Smyly ended up going 4 good innings...I thought he showed a lot in ML debut. Effectively mixed pitches, nice presence on mound.

Smyly left after hitting Pena with 90th pitch leading off 5th. Niemann shut #Tigers out on 2H thru 4IP, but Tigers broke thru in 5th.

Avila walked to start inning, Dirks tripled to tie gm 1-1...Jackson walked with 2 outs, stole 2nd, then Boesch brought both home w/ single.

After Rays cut lead to 3-2 w/ run in 7th, Boesch again singled home two with two-out single off McGee, hard-throwing LH reliever for Rays.

Tigers lead 5-2, added two in 8th on Avila triple and wild pitch. Balester gets win with 2IP of work (0H/1R). Benoit/Valverde finished up.

Highlights: Boesch 2-4 with 4RBI, Fielder 2-4, Avila 2-3 +BB, Dirks 2-4, 2R. Jackson also scored - his 9th run in 6 Games.

Tigers now hit road for 6Games, 3 in Chicago, 3 in KC. Scherzer vs. Peavy friday for Sox home opener, on air at 1:40PM.
