Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

May 13 in Tigers history;

1911: Ty Cobb of the Detroit Tigers hits his first grand slam. After six innings, Detroit leads the Boston Red Sox, 10 - 1. Boston comes back to win the game in 10 innings.

2011: Justin Verlander does his best Johnny Vander Meer imitation in his first start since pitching the second no-hitter of his career on May 8, but comes up short. The Tigers ace is still masterful, though, keeping the Royals hitless until Melky Cabrera's two-out triple in the 6th. He ends up allowing two hits in 8 innings in a 3 - 1 win.

Bonnie Raitt talks about her involvement with Major League Baseball and the Going to Bat program in anticipation of Mother's Day 2012.

Happy Mothers Day to all your moms, grandmoms, wives.
Today holds a bit more significance for me and thanks to God and all holy, as well as for all the medical technology and to each shift/staff of docs and nurses in the ICU that saved my mom from April 23 on for 2 1/2 weeks. Seeing a loved one on life support/breathing machine and all other tubes and iv is a scary sight. I am fortunate to still have my old mom all these years as so many friends have lost their moms through the years as probably some of you have. Losing a loved one is never easy. Mom is now in a hospital room but will transfer to and need physical therapy rehab in a nursing home for awhile.
All of us have real life ups and downs away from the Tigers board, but for me being on the Tigers board mornings, afternoons, and evenings, I had to let all of you know what was going on. Still not sure how it will all work out, but for now seems to be much better.
