Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

Valverde was unavailable with a sore back, according to Leyland. He's expected to be available on Tuesday in Cleveland.

Miguel Cabrera post game;
Estoy muy orgulloso de alcanzar la importante cifra de 300 HR's y convertirme en el segundo venezolano en lograrlo.....
I am very proud of achieving the important figure of 300 HR's and I became the second Venezuelan to achieve...

Miggy reaches Cabrerafied air of 300 HR club with pair of prodigious blasts, Tigers sweep ChiSox with 6-4 win.

Turner: "Confidence level was probably the same, but I was just able to be a little more aggressive today with all my pitches."

Turner: "Just being more aggressive, attacking the hitters, not worrying about who might be at the plate, but just going right after them.

JT: "Any time u don?t throw the ball well, u want to get back out there as soon as u can, so I was real happy they gave me another chance."

Jacob Turner on first MLB win: "I more excited that the team got the win, to be honest. It was a big sweep for us."

Turner on 1st MLB win: "Anytime you can get that first one out of the way, it?s always nice. It?s not hanging over your head anymore."

Turner thankful for early lead: "Obviously, anytime you get to see Miguel do what he does, it?s impressive."

Berry on Miggy: "I watched him for a while now. He?s been amazing for a while."

Berry on Miggy: "He?s been so consistent over all these years, if you don?t know what he?s capable of, you haven?t been turning on the TV."

Avila on Miggy: "Those are the types of players that come around and then you retire their number after. People need to realize that. He?s special".

Avila on Miggy: "As hard as this game is ? and this game is really hard ? he makes it look like anyone can do it."

Avila on Miggy: "There?s sometimes, you?re just watching him and thinking, ?He?s going to hit a home run here."

Leyland on Turner: "He did everything, and more today, than we could have asked. I thought he did a terrific job."

Leyland: "I think key to today?s Game ... was Dotel. He came in and was fantastic. Along with Cabrera and Turner, he was the star of the game."

As you've probably seen 1,000 places, Valverde (back) was unavailable Sunday for #Tigers. Should be fine for Tuesday night.

Leyland on Miggy's No. 300 into the ivy: "I?m glad they got it. I wouldn?t have wanted to be the one to go after it."

Leyland on Miggy: "He?s a superstar. That?s what he is. He?s one of those guys that?s a couple notches above most people."

Leyland on Miggy: "He?s having a wonderful, wonderful career so far. Hopefully it?ll be a long career, and hopefully end up in Cooperstown."

Leyland on Tigers' sellout crowds: "Really nice, just a nice weekend for us. But for us, it?s work, and we gotta go to work again on Tues."

Leyland: "What I like about it ... pretty much everybody got to play. I like that. ... Whole team was involved in this. I like that a lot."

Leyland: "Everybody out there should feel pretty good about themselves this weekend. Everybody did a little something."

Leyland: "Everybody was involved in this, and I like that myself. I think that?s how you win."

Tigers pack them in for three-game series vs. ChiSox.
All three of the weekend?s games against the Chicago White Sox were sellouts for the Tigers ? 44,572 Friday, 42,888 Saturday and 41,281 Sunday ? giving them four straight packed houses, when you throw in the crowd of 40,311 from Thursday?s series finale against the Angels.

?For us, it was work, obviously, but for the fans, it was a happening. For the fans around town, all weekend, was tremendous. I hope they continue tonight, party a little bit, and enjoy it. Because it was really nice, people coming in from out of town, other parts of Michigan. Everybody into it. Really nice, just a nice weekend for us,? said Tigers manager Jim Leyland, whose team has won five straight.

?But for us, it?s work, and we gotta go to work again on Tuesday. Hopefully the fans will enjoy this one, and remember this weekend. There were probably some people here from Chicago, as well, and they?ll go home a little sad, but our fans this weekend should be real happy.?

The three games against the White Sox ranked as the fourth-, sixth- and 14th-largest crowds at Comerica this season, where the Tigers now have 19 sellouts, and have drawn 1,826,100 through 48 home dates.

Detroit sold out Comerica Park 17 times all of last season.
