Alburquerque update: Relief pitcher Al Alburquerque retired the only batter he faced Saturday during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo (against Rochester). He had a 5.40 ERA and nine strikeouts in four outings at Single-A Lakeland. He has been recovering from right elbow surgery and hasn't pitched for the Tigers since last season.

Schlereth update: Left-handed reliever Daniel Schlereth hasn't allowed a run in 1.1 innings at Single-A Lakeland since he started his rehab assignment Friday. He allowed one hit and one walk in two outings. He's been sidelined since April 21 with left shoulder tendinitis.
