Doug Fister, Austin Jackson, Alex Avila agree to contracts with Tigers.
from the freep

Tigers will pay Fister, Avila and Jackson $10.45 million this year after just over $1.5 million last year

Pitchers Max Scherzer, Rick Porcello and Phil Coke and outfielder Brennan Boesch also filed for arbitration and, apparently, have yet to come to an agreement with the team.

Add Brennan Boesch and Phil Coke to the Tigers list of one-year deals today, avoiding arbitration.
Boesch will make $2.3 million. Phil Coke will make $1.85 million. That leaves Max Scherzer as lone Tiger left to exchange numbers.

Tigers have paid above projections for all six of their settled arbitration eligibles.

Sounds like they're going to exchange numbers with Scherzer shortly.

Brennan Boesch and Phil Coke avoided arbitration, agreeing to one-year deals with the Tigers, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports (onTwitter). Boesch will earn $2.3MM while Coke will earn $1.85MM. The Tigers also avoided arbitration with Alex Avila, agreeing to a one-year, $2.95MM deal, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports (all Twitter links). Austin Jackson agreed to a deal worth $3.5MM for 2013, Heyman reports. Doug Fister obtained a one-year, $4MM deal from Detroit, Heyman reports.

Detroit Tigers agree on contracts worth $19.7 million with six players eligible for arbitration.
from Mlive

Tigers settlement with 6 arb eligible players totals $19.7M, that's 1.8M above 17.9 projected, $ 13.5M salary increases over 2012.
Boesch has zero surplus value in that contract. Likely not tradeable. $ 2 mil is the floor for 1st time arb, full time OF.
Tigerdog

Lots of reaction on Boesch deal. Remember, for 1st-time arb eligibles, players judged on career to date, not just last season. Big difference.
