Does anyone want Miles as coach?

Yeah, but he wasn't a spring chicken when he was hired. I'd agree with you if he was 35 when he was hired, and now he's in his mid 40s.

Miles is also an established coach at 60. He's not a guy coaching CMU and he's 55. He already knows how to win games in a tough conference.

He would need the vitamin V.

maybe like a fine wine, Les Miles has gotten better with age (so to speak). The Mad Hatter was too hot for Ann Arbor in the 90's, but these days, he's cooled down enough to do the job the way it needs to be done.

tough to find pics of him on the sidelines in Ann Arbor.

all Wiki has of the time period is this: "A rift with the University of Michigan occurred near the time of Moeller's resignation, forcing him to seek employment elsewhere." he was our OLC at the time.

his name is "Leslie" not "Lester" as I had assumed. Lester seems to be a bad name. I wouldn't trust anyone named Lester.

but...

the section on the stuff he did at OkSt, if true, is pretty bad. It's easily within the definition of a loss of institutional control... setting up sham drug testing, tossing all academic standards out the window, and running a cash $$ program and no-show jobs through an assistant coach.

That's Jim Tressell territory.

There's enough smoke there - if not an outright inferno behind the door - putting me squarely in the No-Les-Miles camp.

You couldn't have a guy named Lester working for a guy they call "Mo". Someone would yell across the field to get their attention during practice...it would be like a Bart Simpson phone call.

I need to double up on that

20 year olds in the porn industry, who really don't need it at all, use it at every shoot.

All of them.

It's handed out like candy.

It's like professional body builders. If you're not using roids, you're not a professional body builder.

So don't feel old.

Rumor on espn radio today was Miles to Michigan and RichRod to LSU. Hoke to walmart greater where he can tell everyone that will listen how much they love each other.

As far as Les v Hoke goes. I don't really care for either of them but if I had to chose between the 2 at this point itd be miles. We will need his charisma out there to recruit and be able to turn things around.....hokes love speech to guys sitting on a couch just aren't going to work anymore with all the drama around this program. Then hoke killed himself with parents by the whole shane ordeal. Hes done here....

Great. Now we're talking about Bielema and Miles.

It has got to be Jim, John, or Les. Otherwise, might as well stay with Hoke for another year until one of these guys is ready.

The thing is, in the last two head-coaching searches, there's just been too much drama around Les Miles and him coming to Michigan. There was also an amount of drama surrounding his departure FROM Michigan what ever was the cause or wasn't the cause of it.

I'm just seeing it as not being in the cards.
