Totally Tigers

(Comments may be extended for this segment, but please do not exceed 8 sentences in your response).
Game 6 of the World Series set social media on fire. Analytics and sabermetrics and anything not related to gut instincts was called under question.
The Rays starting pitcher, Blake Snell, had shut out LA on 1 hit, had 9 K?s and no walks through 5 innings. In the 6th, he gave up the Dodgers? 2nd hit and was immediately pulled from the game by manager Kevin Cash.
It was the turning point of the game as the Dodgers had renewed life when the pitcher who had dominated them the whole game, walked off the mound after throwing less than 80 pitches.
The Dodgers scored 2 runs in the 6th and another in the 8th and won the game and the World Series. Incredible!
The obvious question, of course, is how far do you take analytics when it comes to your decision-making? At what point must you consider your instincts and ?gut feel??
Is there an analytical reference for a hot pitcher, dominating the opponent in the 6th game of the World Series, in a must-win situation? Is there a measurement for that?
You are the GM of the Tigers and are looking for a new manager. How much should analytics influence their decisions?
