As a result, most metro districts have cancelled classes for Wednesday, impacting some half-million students, teachers and staff.



At what point do we as rational people decide the 2nd Amendment is an outdated and stupid ?right? and that the NRA is largely responsible for virtually every mass shooting since Columbine?!

also, FWIW, it was a shotgun not a rifle.

Weird story; she definitely didn't fit the mold of the typical spree killer, who are overwhelmingly male. This was more like a cry for help fashioned as a terrorist threat. maybe she initially hoped for suicide by cop.

I'm with you on almost everything you have to say about this shit. However, I still think people should have the right to own a gun but I think there should be VERY strict gun laws. When I say very strict, I'm talking about possibly owning one hand gun for protection and owning guns for hunting. Outside of that, ban them all!

no one needs a handgun for protection really, except maybe cops and guys that drive armored cars.

the avg. homeowner isn't going to practice shooting enough to make it worthwhile.

shotguns for home defense and hunting; rifles for hunting.

assault rifles, hand guns, high capacity clips, semi-auto guns period... the risks to innocent people far outweigh any benefits.

I've seen people complain "But shooting machine guns is my HOBBY!" and the best response to that being "Find a different hobby."

I'm not worried about the British or even the Germans for that matter and you know as well as anyone they were a threat far more recently. I don't currently own any guns, never have and have no plans to buy one, let alone "stock up" on them and/or ammo. The threat of Polish people dumbing down internet forums, now that's something we should all be concerned about - not that it has anything to do with the 2nd amendment, just something we should be more worried about than an armed foreign invasion.

Edit: it should be acknowledged that it's not a real threat for this thread - the OP pretty much guaranteed this thread couldn't get any dumber.

You joke about internet forums, but for the reasons people argue for the 2nd amendment, they should also argue for data privacy rights.
