Is he right..We should have gone after Upton over Hunter? I just don't like the guy... He hates Michigan.. Just about all his articles he either hates someone or some team... Or is he right about Upton over Hunter... Can't find the article but I will try and get it later..

Thank you Ron.... Best line>>>>

Good idea. If we could get the 3 million plus that went to Comerica Park last year to each donate just ONE DOLLAR each to make Drew Sharp go away…

Upton has more upside longterm but I like Hunter's contract length much better than what it will take to land Upton.

he just fits better with detroit's overall situation imo which is to win now

Hunter is better for the Tigers bc he's an FA signing rather than the trade that would be needed to obtain Upton.

Had the Tigers traded for Upton, Sharp surely would have penned a column that called out the organization for surrendering all that potential talent for a player that they could have had in Torii Hunter, while those players they gave away developed.

Drew Sharp is probably the worst writer in Detroit. He is a poor writer in most aspects. It amazes me at the lack of quality Detroit sports writers. Mitch and Book are the only two that are well written in my opinion. Foster is marginal but I can never take him seriously.

I think the Tigers are going to make a big deal next week. I would not be surprised if we acquire a closer and a corner OF via trade. Stanton? Morse? Cishek? J.Upton?

I wouldn't be shocked to see us talk Justin Upton with AZ and Stanton with Miami next week at the Winter Meetings. I could definitely see us swinging another big trade involving Porcello, Castellanos, Dirks, Peralta, and maybe even Rondon if we could land a stud SS, corner OF, and/or starter. A lot depends on Sanchez resigning or not. I also think we'll be signing Soriano to be our closer. We'll see though.

I can't believe you think there is anything Miami would not consider, especially considering their history.

Miami trades expensive players or players that are in for a huge payday. Stanton is great and cheap....he isn't going anywhere

Miguel Cabrera might disagree with you.

Stanton is getting paid peanuts and isn't due for a big payday for a while. Miggy was already making big money and was due for a huge payday. That is when Miami will consider trading Stanton.
