Fairley arrested for DUI

ya, coca cola...a major company worldwide....just like the NFL. its time they started acting like one.

Dude, i'm not knocking your job, but you're not the fn NFL. Get over it, nobody gives a fuck about average Joes like you and me. Nobody cares if you or myself go 110mph into a tree all snotted, drunked up and kills the 16 year old prostitute. NOBODY.

These are "kids" given millions of dollars and some of them know how to act and some don't. END OF STORY.

Things I have recently learned: Nick Failey considers Jamarcus Russell to be like a brother to him; they grew up two blocks from each other and went to the same HS.

Fairley showed up to the Auburn Awards banquet where he was receiving Auburn defensive player of the year, an hour late drunk and high.

Awwww fuck me!! Is this for real?? We're doomed then....

I had no idea. This worries the fuck outta me....

Where in the fk is Slick?

I'll get his computer working.

He'll be back in action soon.

Doesn't that photo of Russell and Fairley give you the willies? Jamarcus fn Russell?? Lmfao....they need to get that kid away from that cancer ASAP.

I just picture OJ and Al Cowling. Won't be surprised if Fairley and Russell reenact that one day.

lol. Bro, i'm not even kidding. All jokes aside. Somebody throw up the red flag!! Jamarcus Russell is "like" an older brother to Fairley? Imagine the advice that putz is giving our boy? The Lions need to do some serious damage control with this guy. It starts with keeping him away from Russell. I don't see it happening....this is going to get uglier than it already is.

Are we sure that Fairley and Russell were as close as brothers? Schefter reported that they grew up 2 blocks from eachother, but went out of his way to say it probably means nothing.

If indeed Fairley had said he views Jamarcus as a brother figure, then Im sure ESPN would have reported that in a heartbeat. Maybe it's true, but I dont know if the source is reliable.

i work for coke...you have a dui in the last 3 years you dont even get an interview to be hired. If you already work for the company and get a DUI as a merchandiser you lose your job, salesman...they might put you on leave for 30 days until you get your liscense back...but thats only if they like you. You also cant apply to move up within the company for 3 years. Its definitely alot worse than what these bums get away with. The NFL should really start to come down harder. It happens way to often and makes the league look like a joke. It should be in the contracts that if the start to get these incidents their pay gets lowered so the teams dont get stuck with a bunch of assholes playing for them.

The bottom line is this: if you are very valuable to your company (you do your job extremely well and are hard to replace) then they are more likely to look the other way if you get a DUI.

The more exclusive the company, the more leinency you have. The NFL is the best of the best, and Fairley is a top 20 pick. He cannot just be 'cut' and replaced by another guy waiting to take his job, he is an extrememly rare commodity, and the company who owns him will put up with a lot to keep him.

It would be the same thing if one of NASA's lead scientists got into trouble, they wouldnt just go ahead and kick him to the curb, as less than .1% of us would be qualified to do his job.

If one of us got into trouble and our company thought they could easily (or fairly easily) replace us with a new employee, we would be on the curb in a second. But unfortunately thats not the case with young atheletic NFL players..

Bottome line Fairley gets cut, another team picks him up in a heartbeat due to his talent and would reap the benefits after the suspension (so the Lions might as well reap the benefits especially considering they will be perfectly fine with Suh,Hill,CW and Fluellen during those 4 games). Banishing him from the Lions doesn't banish him from football.

Fairely and LeShoure and the Lions will take their 4 game suspension penalty from this nonsense and move on starting Week 5.

Make your own judgement on reliability.

And ya Tony creeps me out too, take a look in the bottom left corner is that a slurpee cup of purple drank?

Sammie Lee Hill is a good run defender but just doesn't bring the pressure like Fairley can. Lee- Hill is getting better at that though. Two different kinds of DTS IMO. But Lee-Hill should be re-signed depending on what he wants. Would like CW back too at a cheaper price given his age but that's wishful thinking. I'm hoping CW in 2012 has a year like 2010 again though. Allowed Suh to clean up.

The suspension won't be any longer than 4 games...Its a 16 game season...calm down

idk, there's still june, july, august, and thanks to likely suspensions, even september for these guys to get at least 1 if not more arrests. at their current rate, they'll never play another down even without factoring injuries.

I'd figure there would be less shit going on with the way 1st rounds aren't making the huge money like in the past. You'd think they'd bust their ass to do well, a few years later get the huge contract and then screw up.
