Not sure if anyone else was watching, but with Castellanos, Brantley and Rondon playing I figured I'd make a thread.

Heady baserunning by Castellanos allows him to score from 1st on a ball off the fence.

Brantly enters the game at catcher in the 5th and guns down a sb attempt at 2nd!

Castellanos hits 1-1 pitch back up the middle for a single. He scores from first again on a ball smoked of the wall in center by Brantley!!! Double!! Future Tig's looking good.

US bats around in the 6th. Castellanos up again with 1 out, men on 2nd and 3rd. World team running out of pitchers in a 12-5 game. Blasts a 3-run homer to straight away center on a full count pitch!!!! Wow!!

I really like this kid. He can swing the bat. He has been working out before games in LF. And they did mention during the game that his trade value is very high because of how good he is at 3B.

I'm usually not against trading top prospects for proven MLB talent, but I have a feeling this kid is something special.

Hope they keep him, looks tremendous, that was a nice inside out swing.
Power is there now and develop more as he fills out.

I wouldn't be against seeing Castellanos in Detroit by September. Kid can swing the stick.

why not turn castellanos into your future corner OF? or just platoon him at 3b/1b and let Fielder/miggy DH every once in awhile. We could get this kid a ton of play time in a tigers uniform.....dont know why ppl keep saying fielder/cabby are blocking him.

He's been taking fly balls in the OF for a little bit now. I'm sure they just don't want to throw too much at him this early.
