why not turn castellanos into your future corner OF? or just platoon him at 3b/1b and let Fielder/miggy DH every once in awhile. We could get this kid a ton of play time in a tigers uniform.....dont know why ppl keep saying fielder/cabby are blocking him.

Nobody says that.

Everybody is expecting him to be moved to the OF, or to move Cabrera to 1B and Fielder to DH at some point.

Great game for Castellanos so far, he is in line for Futures Game MVP. This kid looks to be the real deal.

If Castellanos keeps swinging the bat at the clip he is, he should at least be at AAA by the end of the season. No reason to hold him back if he is dominating.

Fielder doesn't want to DH and I'm sure Cabby would but he seems to have a blast playing 3rd. So if NC comes up in the next couple years he's in the OF.

He's only 20. Erie is fine for him. Not sure AAA is more powerful than AA anyway.

Rondon, who was scheduled to be the closer, enters the game in the 8th. 1 pitch, one out. ESPN missed it. 102, 101, 101, 101 were his pitches to get the 2 outs. Damn, haven't heard much about this kid, but he sure the hell has an arm!!

17-5 final for the USA team. Nick Castellanos is named MVP with a 3-4 (HR), walk, 3 RBI performance. Would have like to see him in the field though.

Rob Brantley ended up 1-3 with a RBI double off the center field wall. Also threw out a sb attempt at 2nd.

Bruce Rondon pitched 2/3 of an inning throwing 4 pitces(102 101 101 101),

Excellent performance by all the Tiger's today!!!

Honestly, what a great day to be a Tiger fan!!! Finish off a sweep of the Royals to carry a 5 game winning streak into the break. Then get to watch some of their young stars standout in the futures game!!! Now Prince in the home run derby tommorrow. Then JV, Prince and Miggy in the all star game Tuesday!! Good times!!
